  1. This was just on G4's Attack of the Show, the #2 Around The Net clip.
  2. Stephanie McMahon is pregnant again.
  3. Someone once told me that if you get your 2 year degree at a community college, you are guaranteed acceptance at any state school like UF or FSU or UCF is this true? Many schools stipulate that if you have a GPA (3.6 or higher, for example) you are guaranteed in. That's usually UF and UCF due to their extreme overcrowding. If you go to a smaller school, they're usually less lenient. I don't think it's 3.6, though.
  4. Community college isn't that bad. It's dirt-cheap for the same quality education as the public system, and you can transfer seamlessly into any of the state's public universities. UF, FSU, UCF, USF, UNF, FIU, FAU, FGCU, UWF, FAMU or NCF.
  5. I'm really getting tired of the whole Hornswoggle thing. Right now I'm hoping there's a mixup in paternity suits, we find out Finlay's really his dad, and Finlay beats the bloody p*** out of Vinnie Mac at WrestleMania. I knew the moment Santino Marella "found the fine print" that somehow Maria was winning that match. BTW: They actually used Kennedy's OLD music, the one before his cool music. I hope it was a mistake, and they go back to his current music. I want to see him win Money in the Bank again.

  7. Even though unions are not as powerful in Florida as they are elsewhere (for example, striking in Florida would be useless, since it's right-to-work), they still serve a purpose. For example, in the four years I've had my current position, I've seen an average annual pay increase of 6% due to union-negotiated contracts. BTW: nc42dad, I'm sure Barack Obama would love to hear from you.
  8. Well, the European Union has sent peacekeepers to support the independence process, so this isn't going to end well if Russia is insistent on preventing this from happening. From what I've heard, Russia intends to recognize the breakaway republics in Georgia (Abkhazia and South Ossetia, both of which are semi-autonomous areas currently), and has already invoked Turkish North Cyprus (a puppet state set up by Turkey in Cyprus) and Basque Country (whose "independence movement" is really a source of terrorism in Spain). Considering their treatment of Chechnya, Russia isn't exactly an authority on dealing with areas seeking independence.

  10. I already entered a league. We drafted yesterday. The roster is now drag-and-drop. Much better for visualizing the lineup.
  11. Does it have artificial sweeteners or just less sugar flavor? Just less sugar. Uses the same combination of real sweeteners (sucrose syrup, corn syrup), but it has half the sugar. Regular Gatorade has 14g carbs per 8-oz serving. G2 only has 7.
  12. Possible names for our exclusive club?? School Daze ? Insanity 101 ? To avoid too much trouble, I'll just say that both names are apt. :mischief
  13. penguino, we can dance this dance all night...im not dragging it out...you feel that health care for all=socialism...and that is ridiculous but whatever...and yes i do understand what a right is...WE have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness...and if you arent healthy and cant afford to be...this is when our government, the people we pay our taxes to, should step in and do what is needed for us to continue that life And what happens when the Government gets bankrupted and starts to ration (Canada) or outright deny (U.K.) care to people? Because that will happen if they attempt universal healthcare. maybe if we werent spending a billion a week in iraq....there would be more money...maybe if they stop this ridiculous drug war, there would many more billions from that...maybe if we didnt have a military base in virtually every country in the world, we could actually spend that money on our citizens who need it And there still wouldn't be nearly enough. Healthcare cost the United States $1.5 trillion in 2002. Nearly three times the complete FY 2008 defense budget PLUS Iraq and Afghanistan. ($626.6 billion) To put in contrast, personal income tax accounted for $1.25 trillion of all tax receipts in FY 2008.

  15. Clemens threw his wife under the bus. He said Pettitte "misremembered" the conversation about HGH in 1998. Clemens said it wasn't about him...it was about his wife.
  16. We got this notice last week in our e-mails. Read this actual notice: Briefing ID #: 3688 REVISED: ALL PRINCIPALS/ASSISTANT PRINCIPALS: Florida Hazardous Weather Awareness Week Category: Urgent Audience: All Principals/APs, Cabinet Due Date: Feb 08, 2008 Meeting Date: n/a Disregard Weekly Briefing 3653. The Statewide Tornado Drill is being moved from Wednesday, February 6 to Friday, February 8 due to the threat of severe weather in north Florida. This isn't really that kind of problem. With severe weather happening elsewhere in their own state, they may think it isn't a drill, and when it's not a drill, panic ensues. Hey yenta, we should form a clique for MB.com members that are school employees.
  17. I was listening to Glenn Beck while out on my lunch break, and I got this funny story. As a side note, Valentine's Day is the day when the most cheaters get caught. Anyway, a woman suspected her husband was cheating on him, so she put a GPS transmitter in his shoe. He went on a lot of "business trips", and as it turns out, during the trips, he always stayed at the same place: a suburban household. She confronted him, not revealing she used a GPS tracker. She gave the address of his mistress. He confessed, and said he'd never do it again. During his next "business trip", she checked the GPS tracker again. Shortly afterward, he was served divorce papers. At his mistress's house. That is the very definition of "pwned". :mischief
  18. hey, i live in massachusetts and our system is pretty damn similar...and yet...we have had pretty good results with it so far...so while their system might be different...does that really make ours better...especially when 1 in 7 in this country doesnt have any insurance? Your system is nothing like Canada. Massachusetts merely forces you to buy health insurance. If your employer doesn't offer it, you have to go shop for it yourself out of your own pocket. I'm glad I live in the good old US of A where if I get a serious illness, I become financially devastated. Yeah, our system is perfect. Though you can go into debt, the Federal Debt Collection Practices Act protects people who are affected by medical debt. Also, medical debt is fully dischargeable through Chapter 7 bankruptcy, even after the 2005 law change.
  19. Before I went off to college this one guy tried relentlessly to recruit me for the Coast Guard. He tried to sway me by saying that I could get my own boat and such. Some dudes in the CG actually do get their own boat.
  20. in a state that is known for insanely cold winters - this place is the coldest of them all i have no idea why anyone would want to live there - besides, it has a scary proximity to canada there aint nothin wrong with good ol Canadian folk eh? :thumbup This is the most incorrect post in the history of MB.com. i dont see nothin wrong with it eh...so we canadian brethren like our cold weather, our pot and our beer...and our universal healthcare...what's so wrong with that eh? With year-plus-long waiting lists that are pushing people to private insurance in the provinces that have made it legal. Plus, that 13-15% sales tax is on top of an income tax higher than ours, merely because of the higher rates applied to lower-waged workers. But let's not turn this into a bash-Canada thread. :mischief
  21. There is no such thing as a neocon. Near as I can tell the term means "wrong kind of Jew" Ironic, since extreme leftists tend to compare neocons to Hitler.
  22. Soap on a Rope. He'll get the joke. The joke being - of course - don't drop the soap or you may end up getting anally ravaged by horny sailors too long at sea. :lol :mischief :confused :| That doesn't happen in the Coast Guard.
  23. http://www.startribune.com/local/15453806.html International Falls, Minnesota, renewed their patent to the term "Icebox of the Nation". They have been in conflict with Fraser, Colorado, a ski town outside of Denver, for the title. Then, this morning, they hit a record low of -38?F.
  24. Alright, I've done this once -- make sure you're not confusing the number one with lowercase "l" and also that you're keeping your o's and 0's straight. If it's a little sticker label, it's easy to confuse 8 and B as well.
