January 30, 200818 yr A new problem for Mr. Clemens. Lawyer: Pettitte can confirm Clemens? HGH use Pitcher's testimony on drug use in baseball scheduled for Monday AP: Tues Jan. 29, 2008 WASHINGTON - A lawyer for Andy Pettitte?s former personal trainer said Tuesday he believes the pitcher will tell Congress he discussed human growth hormone with Roger Clemens between the 2001 and 2002 seasons. The lawyer, Earl Ward, said Pettitte talked about HGH with trainer Brian McNamee following a conversation with Clemens, who has denied that he used HGH or steroids. McNamee worked with both Clemens and Pettitte. ?We?re hopeful based on Andy?s reputation that he will corroborate Brian?s statements with regard to Roger,? Ward said in a telephone interview. January 31, 200818 yr Author wow, aren't they supposed to be close friends? maybe they were friends til he realized how scummy roger can really be. I give Petitte a lot of props for coming out and doing this.
January 31, 200818 yr wow, aren't they supposed to be close friends? We may be talking about perjury charges, potential jail time, etc. I don't think the investigators are too happy with Clemens circus and denial

February 14, 200818 yr Looks like Pettitte's testimony is really hurting Clemens in front of the Mitchell Committee. If it were just McNamee vs Clemens I don't think they put much credibility in McNamee, but Pettitte's comments are pretty damaging.
February 14, 200818 yr I think Clemens used PED's however if your case if based on the credibility of McNamee you have no case . McNamee simply isnt credible and to me it would require alot of faith in McNamee to trust that his physical evidence has not been tained or manipulated over the years .
February 14, 200818 yr Clemens threw his wife under the bus. He said Pettitte "misremembered" the conversation about HGH in 1998. Clemens said it wasn't about him...it was about his wife.
February 14, 200818 yr Not that I am an English major or anything but is MISREMEMBERED even a word? Yep, http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/misremembered
February 14, 200818 yr Not that I am an English major or anything but is MISREMEMBERED even a word? Yep, http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/misremembered Thanks Admin. I will try to add a new word to my everyday vocabulary. Maybe it will work with my wife!Ha.
February 14, 200818 yr It sounds as ridiculous as Richard Nixon & his "non-functional statement." I wonder if Clemens lawyers versed him on the use of "misremembered?" Wonders never cease. Personally, I wish they would give up with this whole charade & move on. It is what it is......
February 14, 200818 yr Clemens threw his wife under the bus. He said Pettitte "misremembered" the conversation about HGH in 1998. Clemens said it wasn't about him...it was about his wife. Wait I thought Clemens said McNamee was crazy when McNamee also said he injected Clemens wife. :confused
February 15, 200818 yr Can't for the life of me figure out why Clemens would put himself before that commitee to begin with. He didn't have to and it didn't help his cause at all. Dumb move. I watched the whole thing and he really didn't look very credible.

I watched the whole thing and he really didn't look very credible. I think most people feel the same way. I keep thinking back to how adamant Pete Rose was for all those years that he never gambled. How many years did it take before he fessed up? Seems like we are re-visiting the same cocky personality.
