That isn't a good way at looking at the numbers. Are you saying a good WHIP, K/BB, H/9, and K/9 are not desirable stats for a pitcher? I don't see what you are getting at with those lists. Some of the lists have ugly ducklings, but Pedro is among the leaders in all of them, that shows how good he is and how well rounded his pitching was. And the only reason Joe Wood isn't in the HOF is because his pitching career was cut short. He only pitched eight seasons. He played three more as a hitter, but that was it.
