  1. We should ask for Mariano Rivera, Joba Chamberlain, Melky Cabrera and Robinson Cano.
  2. I'd love to see a repeat of the 1981 World Series, just so Torre can stick it to the Yanks. Then again, I don't think the Yanks make the playoffs any time in the near future.
  3. FSU and UM will get better, just not next year. Next year should be UF's year. Otherwise, I'd say we're pretty much going to be average for the forseeable future. UCF will be better next year too. Kevin Smith is a junior.
  4. Would there be anything more perfect than him ending up in Toronto? I mean, seriously? Tampa Bay. Or Kansas City.
  5. I know we expect FSU, Florida and Miami to be better than they are now, but right now we have six out of seven I-A schools with winning records, and UCF and FAU still have conference hopes. This is a pretty good year for Florida I-A football. :mischief
  6. According to the descriptions of A-Rod's opt-out, they never got the chance.
  7. 4 more days! Cant wait for my taquito. If our whole team is obese next season, youll know why It's just a taco. I'm sure you get enough allowance that you could afford one anytime. What, it's illegal to have fun with this?
  8. Time to force the hand. The City has done everything to cater to the Marlins. Do or die time.
  9. If he goes to the Sox's he a fu*king joke... Have some self respect, the fans and the players dont like you there.... But knowing 99.9% of red sox nation, they will enbrace him and put up a statue of him in the front lawn.... John Henry and Theo Epstein will be crucified if it happens, 2007 ring be damned. They want Mike Lowell back.
  10. Lowell's contract wasn't a bad contract at all. It was $32 million over 4 years. That's pretty fair for the player he is and he had 3 good years and one bad one. His OPS+ over the contract was 109. Seriously. One bad year and people crap all over him? Please.
  11. Boras and the Red Sox will make magic again. A-Rod will be there soon. But, I could totally see him as a Giant as well. Cubs. Sweet Lou.
  12. there's no way Girardi had an out clause absolutely none Not that Loria wouldn't have have let him out anyway. I'd be surprised if the Yanks finished ahead of the Devil Rays next year.
  13. Well, last week could've been worse. Tampa Bay Carolina Buffalo Detroit Green Bay Jacksonville San Diego San Francisco Washington Cleveland Houston New England Philadelphia Pittsburgh

  15. Buster Olney put it best: "A-Rod putting himself above game" Alex Rodriguez couldn't be at the World Series to receive an award from Hank Aaron -- a family commitment was the stated reason -- but he managed to upstage Game 4, with the help of agent Scott Boras, who announced in the early innings that his client is opting out of his contract. ... Somebody will buy into A-Rod, of course. He's an extraordinary player. The cost will be hundreds of millions, and the heart and soul, of his next franchise.
  16. Beckett got rob! :mad In the era where a sweep can have four different starters, there's no way a starting pitcher gets the MVP in a sweep. Maybe Becks really was the throw-in in the trade. :mischief
  17. Hagens with the first down. who? I don't follow the Dolphins. I don't know all the names.
  18. Hagan with the first down.
  19. So that's why they chose the Giants: Scotish placekicker.
  20. Can't cry pass interference on that one. :mischief
  21. That was awesome. :mischief
