He is arbitration eligible this offseason and after next season he's a free agent I belive and if he is incarcerated(which he wont be for at least a year or two) then he will just be released I believe. If the charge sticks and the worse comes (hardly ever happens, unless a murder charge) then Castro will be looking at 5-6.5 years or less with parole and good behavior included in the sentence. check his WHIP furman. Also check his ERA without the 5 or so 2 inning outings. He was pretty good until McKeon started using him for 2 innings. his WHIP is pretty nice though either way.

i think Nunez, Allen, Medrano and Gerald Williams will be called up... let me ask you something... why do you think medrano will be up??? we have Harris, Mordy, Fox all hogging up the UTL positions in the infield.. the last thing we need is a ROOKIE that hasnt had 1 ab in the majors taking up space on the bench and a paycheck for nothing at all. only way medrano and all the other UTL infield scrubs get called up is if the marlins lose every game from here till sept 1st and fall out of the race. so they can warm up for next year. have you ever though of using logic with your picks?

I'd also like to see Wayne and Hooper on there too. we have 3 middle infielders on the bench. No middle infielders will be called up. Take a look at last season.. we had fox and mordecai, no harris and still no IF was called up. Erickson is a career minor leaguer. We have better Pinch running options. The guy sucks period. G. Williams isnt on the 40 man roster, but might get squeezed in there. He's tearing AAA up, I wonder if he can do something? Speed and Defense, but doesnt need the bat because we have alot of PH options. Vladimir nunez is still injured isnt he? He might magically heal by the 1st though.. just like hollandsworth

Almanza, Spooney, Hollandsworth all will be activated. my picks are, Abraham, juan alvarez, hollandsworth, chad allen, spooney will all be up by the 1st. A move would have to be made to activate spooney from the 60 though on the 40 man roster, but I think AJ's injury has 1 spot for him. geotz and mairena, g. williams, are not on the 40 man roster, but I wouldnt be surprised to see one of them be moved to the 40 and t. phelps moved to the 60 day DL. we only have 1 lefty in the pen now with Tejera, and Almanza's injury seems to actually be real. hooper, wathan, medrano and any other middle infielder will NOT be called up. We simply dont need middle infielders.. especially rookie scrubs.
