  1. Well it doesn't hurt the Cubs right? Womack can play center, 2nd, SS and probably 3rd I imagine.. He is serviceable and with rosters expanding, I say it improves the cubs... not much improvement, but a little improvement... they are going for the division so a little move like that, sometimes can be the difference. It dont hurt.

I know you are too young to realize what I am saying. I forgive your incompetence since you need to understand the game better. Hopefully with more age and more experience you will understand in the future. I will leave it at this.

thats nothing compared to Ichiro. Please watch some Ichiro footage before you commit to Vlad. You are wrong. The difference is that Vlad is human while Ichiro is not. If you have seen any of Ichiro's throws, you would not be arguing with me right now. You need to appreciate every minute that guy plays. He is not human.
  4. yea i kinda figured that out, I feel the same way.
  5. castillo/renteria replied to BIG Z's topic in Sports
we dont agree. You say vlad has the more stronger arm. Ichiro has the strongest arm ever. THIS IS FACT. He has never made a throwing error on top of that and is throwing out runners at third percentage is 100%. I think only 3 guys have tried going from first to third on him in his CAREER and all have failed. in conclusion, have you seen this guy make a rare throw to third? I know its rare because nobody dares to try him, but have you seen it? The guy can probably hit an airplane while in flight with a baseball. Ichiro's arm is like Jordans vert, They are both the best ever in those aspects. Have you seen that Nike commercial with that guy from kenya? Scientists have spent millions of dollars too, to see why Ichiro has such a good arm.
  6. ok, houston we do have a problem
  7. So who is your Marlins #1 prospect, Bautista or Jason Stokes? I'd have to go with Bautista right now but I think Stokes is going to blow up Double-A in 2004. Also, could Jeff Allison end up being the Marlins' #1 prospect next season? Quite possibly. And what about Scott Olsen? The Marlins do have a few potential #1 prospects in their system. That's a very good sign, the future of this team is very bright side note: I talk to my friend today. He told me the offer on table from LA to acquire Mikey would have been a steal looking back. Hear me out. LHP Greg Miller one of the players would have been one of the throw in on a deal that would have included either Beltran or Mota and CF Franklin Gutierrez(Dodgers top prospect) or Edward Jackson(top ready for the ML pitcher). Back to Greg Miller he is now the top pitcher in the minors by many scouts. Yes better than any young pitcher the Cubs would have offered. A mistake? will see... I say bautista. Do you think he will/can be the reason the Marlins may not tender AJs contract? Is it correct that he might have a shot at making the team next spring, or be brought up in May like dontrelle was for arbitration purposes?
  8. Guys not so fast Jimenez has a no-no under his belt as a Card back in 99'. Soooo it's not like the guy never was a starter. Escobar from toronto was horendous as a closer as well this season, but has been lights out after switching to a starter. They seem to be similar types of pitchers as well. Jimenez is not as big a pushover as you all are making him out to be. Also, besides San Diego series, Marlins hitters have been letting mediocre pitchers look like aces recently.

hey Juanky nice sig. whered ya get it? Yup, like Juanky said, it's custom-made... by me! I can make you one if you'd like. I think you kids are too young to realize because you're mostly bandwagon fans, but the real FLASH is Luis Castillo. Don't forget he's led the league in sb's like 3 times or so and had 50 sbs in '99, 62 in '00(MARLINS RECORD) and led the league in '02 with 48. Forget that loser Carr who can't even make a throw to the cutoff man and photoshop Luis in there as former flash.
  10. i love that .276ba with the 63rbi he really needs to adjust why dont you mention he has 24 homers and is a leadoff with 63 RBI.. and hes what like 25 sbs or something last time I checked? How old is he again? The guy will be a 40-40 man real soon, I think you need to give him more credit. Its not trouble adjusting, its just a slump... you know, the thing every player goes through? does the name pudge ring a bell?
  11. Luis Rivas what? Luis Rivas is half the player of most on that list. Bret Boone is the man this year, but if I'd have to choose a guy for more than a season, it would be Soriano (no brainer). He has his best seasons ahead of him and is a vladimir guerrero at 2nd base, playing for 700k. That about says it all.

Ichiro he's got the most accurate arm I've ever seen for a guy who's got a cannon for an arm. Vlad may have a stronger arm, but Ichiro's accuracy blows Vlad away. you are wrong. IT is no contest. Ichiro does not belong on that list because NONE of those boys come close to his arm strength & accuracy. You all can argue for who is #2, but that little japanese dude may have the best arm in the history of baseball.
  13. I got an idea for MTV.. I will take a camera to the special olympics or an old folks home and tape them all singing the 7th inning stretch! THAT WILL BE FUNNYYYYYYYY hahah
  14. CABERRA was better when he was with Minnesota GO DIME This guy's doing his best Ralph Wiggum impression. lmao :lol so let me guess, you felt the sudden urge to bring back this whole thread and confuse me and everybody just to say "LMAO".. so this is what you have to do to gain "credibility" around here huh? its nice spam though
  15. that sux I think we all know "it sux", thanks for the spam though.

Ichiro has the strongest most accurate arm in the UNIVERSE. THIS IS FACT.
  17. Dysfunctional fun at the old ballpark By Johnny Rosenstein Tribune staff reporter August 17, 2003, 11:31 PM CDT Fifty-four-year-old rock 'n' roller Ozzy Osbourne and wife Sharon sang "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" for the seventh-inning stretch Sunday at Wrigley Field. One can't blame Ozzy for not knowing the words, since he was born in Birmingham, England. But in the overall picture, it was pure Ozzy. Chip Caray: "All right, Chicago. Here comes Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne." Ozzy: "All right, Chicago. I want to hear a real crazy crowd start singing. Are you ready? Are you ready? I can't hear you. Are you ready? "One. Two. Three. "Let's go out to the ballgame. Let's go out to the bluhhhhhn. "Take me a ee-yan eeya (humming) the field. "I don't care if I ahh-uhn ack. "Da da da da duh da da da eam. Duh ee, da da da da dahhh. "For a fee, two, three strikes you're out at the old ballgame. Yeahhhhhh." Sharon: "Now let's get some runs." Ozzy: "Yeah. Let's get some runs." Near the end of the broadcast, WGN-Ch. 9 showed a replay of legendary Los Angeles Dodgers announcer Vin Scully giving the thumbs up after Osbourne's rendition. "If you get the seal of approval from Hall of Famer Vin Scully, you know you're doing OK," Caray said. one of the funnies things i have ever heard funniest thing youve ever heard? it was the MOST SICKENING thing Ive ever heard. who wants to see a base head druggie thats burnt to the core singing? that BS "reality" flick he gots on TV is way overated and gets me sick to my stomach just from going through the channels. WHAT THE HELL is that man doing with his own show? I saw something on VH1 and that guys whole family is famous? FOR WHATTTT?? This guy pisses and craps himself and cannot even talk! it is downright PITIFUL MTV IS FOR LOSERSSSSSSSS, wake up people, you're being duped. that guys wife is a f***en con woman, she is sucking all the money and fame out of this man that needs to be on helios in an old folks home, or halfway house!
  18. He DOES have a curveball. And his slider is sick. Are you insane? you are ONE heck of a comedian! you should star on comedy central WILLIS DOES NOT HAVE A CURVEBALL. and if he does, he aint gripping it right! because it looks like a sorrya#$ changeup to me! his slider looks like a fastball man.. if even that. IT SUCKS. i know you are just 14, bud damn man, common, dont try to prove me wrong when you know nothing of what you are talking about. Have you ever seen a slider? have you ever seen a CURVEBALL?? Willis does NOT have a curveball. "slider is sick" man im LMAO I cant believe you all... you see the guy on TV and all the hype makes you all psyched out in believing he has awesome stuff when he doesnt. Im done here, too much immaturity and you all think you know alot when you dont. you talk about credibility but I have yet to see something from you to be credible. seriously, that last post was the most retarded thing ive ever heard. Ask Edcanes if he has a sick slider and curveball. ask edcanes if im insane. HE IS THE "credible" one here right? I am just a voice in the wind. c ya wouldnt wanna be ya
  19. lol correct me if I am wrong, but aren't Cajuns descendents of the Arcadians who were French Hugenots, fleeing from France? Chances are, there werent too many black folk in France in the 1700s. I believe you are thinking of Creole (yes, when one thinks of Creole, they think of Haiti), not Cajun. thanks for the history lesson. I mentioned I thought he might be haitian. Also, haiti was a french colony as well as louisiana. some haitians can be of those descendants. No there was not too many black folk in france or whatever, but they did have a few slaves in haiti. You never know. seriously though man, howcome I've never seen you talk about baseball besides the obvious? You don't know nothing about the game, so next time you want to do that "lol sean casey lol" take a look in the mirror.
  20. i think he meant before the rosters expand doubt it.. why would he?
  21. whatever man. YOU have no credibility yourself. screw this board
  22. Abe nunez. Yea he will be up. He was here last year and didnt even have as good a year as now. This is actually the first time the guy hits more than .275 in the minors! he might actually be ready. but ready for what ? He's never been a good bench guy... He needs alot of playing time. Remember Floyd and Preston when they first came up? They really sucked in part time duty.
  23. wow you people are dumb. man some marlins fans just hate ANY trade the marlins do just because its a trade and I guess they are traumatized from 1997 offseason.? Im off to see the wizard, the wizard the wizard of ozz!? I wishhhh i had a brainnnnn Hey Castillo/Renteria, build up some credibility like Markotsay7 has already done, then start criticizing others. thats the problem with you people.. post COUNTS are not the world. posting 3000 smiley faces and 1000 posts of LOL and another 1000 of 1-2 sentence posts makes you credible? You dont need post counts to state OBVIOUS FACTS. credibility means nothing. Content of what is posted is everything. how old are you again? because thats the same kind of question you are asking me.
  24. Hideo Nomo has had a pretty solid career. I think Willis can have that kind of career, maybe even better since he is a lefty. He's also young enough that he should improve and develop more command. Is his delivery helping him? Big time. Nomo's delivery has helped him for 9 years now. Remember Sid Fernandez? He was a lefty for the Mets. He didn't throw that hard at all but he had an odd delivery where he kind of slung the ball and it seemed faster than it was so he struck out a lot of people. He stuck around for 15 years and 114 wins and was still striking people out at the end. If he had been in better shape he'd have lasted longer. With the stuff Willis has, he probably won't be a consistent 15-20 game winner, Cy Young contender, ace-of-the-staff type of guy. Between his delivery, his velocity, his left-handedness, and his control, he can probably be a #2 or #3 with an ERA of about 3.50 and 12-15 wins a year. But he's so young that he can still develop another pitch, improve his command, and become a #1. I knew somebody would bring this up. Yes Hideo was fine for awhile, but did you see him when he was with milwakee and the mets?? downright horrible!!! he was struggling for a good part of his career and was almost finished!!! He was in the minors for some time as well. Only a few players can gather it up to come back again. He was lucky. If Willis has to go through that after only a few years, its not good for us or him. I hope we don't sign him for a long deal, because right now we have to have him until 2008 or something like that. That is long enough. He isn't going to last forever unless he makes adjustments... if he doesn't get injured that is... Thats another thing.. have you seen Willis' delievery in slow motion replays?? That elbow is getting torched each time... now way hes going to throw 200+ innings for more than 2 or 3 years. I like Willis, but he has alot of problems. I'm glad to see the only credible person here agree with me on Willis. Willis is not a finished product. Also edcanes, if he doesn't have a curveball by now, he won't ever have one. Thats one of the first breaking pitches that pitchers learn. It must have been worse than his slider...
  25. The Gload trade was a bad one...I cringed at it when they announced it... wow you people are dumb. how can you cringe when HROD had like 16 homers by the ASB with like a .280 avg at the time? IT WAS a fine trade and Dave Dom, was just getting us insurance just in case we might make a run. Ross Gload is going to be A CAREER MINOR LEAGUER!!!!!!!! how is that a bad trade?? Gload was called up with the cubs that season and SUCKED. Still sucks!! we have stokes and had Adrian G. why are you missing gload?? man some marlins fans just hate ANY trade the marlins do just because its a trade and I guess they are traumatized from 1997 offseason. Im off to see the wizard, the wizard the wizard of ozz! I wishhhh i had a brainnnnn
