I think the Miami Marlins Cap should look like this!
That said, I'm not particularly enthralled with the whole name change (Miami Marlins just sounds tacky. To me, they will always be the Florida Marlins)...at least it gets us a new stadium, though. I'm 100% with you there. We already have the Miami Heat and Dolphins (both of whom I love), I like that we were the FLORIDA Marlins, but yeah like you said, whatever gets us a new stadium.

We better have 30,000 on Friday against the Phillies
Wow 40 k for the sat game is awsome espcially cause its on fox. I hope its not all philly fans. Im trying to go to the sunday game. Where did you get 40k?. That is what my friend TOLD ME he was told when he called for tickets, but he has been know to lie in the past. While 40 would be great, what will the country see, a half empty football stadium with empty orange all over the upper deck-leaving the impression that we always hear about. Just commenting-it is what it is. Yep

So do we actually know there is going to be a big change to the colors/logo/uniforms? Or is this just speculation? The logo will change once they become the Miami Marlins in 2011. Not sure if the colors will change too, but Loria has hinted about black and silver. Oh, ok I mean yeah I knew the logo would change, but I wasn't sure if it was a definite on the colors as well. I would like it if we kept our colors, and just changed the F to a block M and left it at that. I don't want a big f***ing deal change.

Poor Dan
Why did it have to be a Marlin! Im gonna be hearing this NY media sh*t for weeks. :banghead I love you Dan Uggla, but you must be the sickest man in America right now. He was hammered on Mike & Mike and Mike & the Maddog. One even suggesting that all teams should be represented except for the Marlins. :o Which one, the fat one, or the stupid one? Wait, scratch that, they are both stupid. The fat one or the other one?

Honestly, Phillips is the only person on ESPN who I've seen saying nice things about us ALL this year. Like earlier in the year when we were in the tops of the MLB and everyone was saying it was a total fluke and wouldn't last, he was saying people shouldn't underestimate this team, and that they are for real. He's the first person on national TV I saw give us a compliment without following it up with an insult. I've also heard the whole HanRam/A-Rod thing a lot, I've heard a few people say that in the next few years he will give A-Rod a run for his moneyas "best player in baseball"- I think the Miami Marlins Cap should look like this!
I love our logo now, and I wish they would just put the same fish on a black M instead of an F when they have to change it. I like the font of that M pictured up there, I think that would look good.- Great article on Marlins.com about Uggla last night
Another nice article which talks about Dan's father and his experience... http://www.palmbeachpost.com/localnews/con...16/uggla17.html Aww, I like the part about people asking his Dad for autographs during the parade- Great article on Marlins.com about Uggla last night
All-Star Miscues No Worry to Uggla Night of stumbles won't get to second baseman going forwardBy Willie Bans / MLB.com NEW YORK -- Under the "All-Star Games" section of Dan Uggla's resume, two experiences are currently listed. And after Tuesday night, the difference between them will jump off the page. Uggla committed three errors, an All-Star record, in the National League's 15-inning, 4-3 loss to the American League at Yankee Stadium. He didn't play in the 2006 All-Star Game, but he entered Tuesday's game in the sixth inning and tallied two straight errors in the 10th and one in the 13th. One error in the 10th happened when the White Sox Carlos Quentin lined a sharp grounder to Uggla and the ball trickled between Uggla's legs for a single. "That was a rough one," Uggla said. "I'm not going to lie. Sometimes it's not your night. Tonight wasn't my night. You move forward, you take those. No excuses, but stuff like that happens." After the errors in the 10th, an intentional walk loaded the bases with one out. But Colorado pitcher Aaron Cook got out of the jam, and Uggla took a deep sigh of relief. Uggla said he wasn't pressing, and he remained upbeat about playing in the last All-Star Game in Yankee Stadium. "I don't think so," Uggla said of a possible snowball effect with the defensive miscues. "You can say the term, 'When it rains it pours.' It's just the way it went tonight. You can't do anything about it. "Still had a lot of fun. I wouldn't trade it for anything." Uggla typically plays solid defense, and he had six errors in 80 games this season. "My reputation is what it is," he said. "One night's not going to change it. It doesn't change how I go about it. If someone else wants to say something about it, let them say it, but I know what kind player I am and I know that my defense is going to be fine after today." Added NL manager Clint Hurdle: "My heart goes out to the young man. He's such a good player, you know. Such a good player. Obviously, that's not the kind of night you want to have in the All-Star Game. You have that kind of night in the season, you get to play the next day." Uggla wasn't much better at the plate, either. He was 0-for-4 with three strikeouts and six runners left on base. After a rough 4-hour, 50-minute game, Uggla was still able to think to the pregame ceremony featuring 49 Hall of Famers. "I'll tell you what, I was holding back some tears, man," Uggla said. "I had some chills going. That was probably the coolest things I've ever been a part of." Uggla was also glad he had Marlins teammate Hanley Ramirez there, as the NL's starting shortstop went 2-for-3 with one run in the leadoff spot. "It was great," Uggla said. "He definitely deserved it. I thought he deserved it last year. To have him here with me, for me to be here with me, it was great. He's a great player and he had a great game tonight." I loved what he said, he's definitely got the right attitude about it going forward.- Poor Dan

Didnt realize he had a kid(besides the one he just had), cute kid. May have been his nephew considering the kid was with his older brother. No, that's Dan's kid. Anyways the segment was nice, but of course short as hell because god forbid they spend any real time on a player from a team that's not based in NY/Philly/Chicago :banghead- All-Star Break...
I was thinking more for those players whos familes and children live in other cities... for example, I don't know if Mike Jacobs' twin girls live all the way in San Diego (or Chula Vista, whatever it was) but if they do then one or two days between 6 months sure isnt enough to visit your kids... I'm sure they see their kids more during the whole season than just the all-star break. And if they don't then that's their own personal issue they should work out. As for Jacobs, I'm sure his wife/twins live in FL for some time as well. I'm pretty sure they were born here, and on the Inside the Marlins: Making the Squad at one point Freddie was talking about how Mike needed the morning off to take his kids to the doctor and I'm sure he wasn't going all the way to SD to do that.- Hanley Batting Leadoff in AS Game!
