7/20 Post Game
Yea it was good game especially cuz i hate the phillies. for anyone who attended yesterdays game did you see the billy skits? I found using the phillies jersey as a mop the best one lol I love those. They had a funny one with the Nationals too. They should make the one that someone runs out of toilet paper on the john and has to use a Mets jersey. They would never do that I'm sure, but one can dream :lol And Kruk can STFU and stop trying to jump on our bandwagon (not that his fatass could make it). As for tomorrow: VIVA LA VOLSTAD!!

Jason Taylor
We'll see Taylor vs Thomas this year. Ohh sh*t that's right! They go from being on the same team to being division rivals lol. I'm sad to see JT go, but I guess its for the best in the end.

Add the Herald to the boycott list?
I am in WPB now, and frankly the new stadium, even though farther away, will probably get me to more games. Esp. if there is some sort of public transportation in the works, which there is planned to be. Most people I know who live around here feel the same way.

Will be in FLA for 3 games need some help....
-I would absolutely take ponchos. It rains almost every day here. The good news is that it usually doesn't last long, but if it's not raining really hard they won't call the game and you may want to stay in the seats until it stops raining. But yeah I would buy them before otherwise you will end up paying like $12 for what is basically a plastic bag. -As for the stadium, it does suck for baseball. It's a nice stadium in general, and they just made a bunch of improvements to it, but it does not provide a good baseball atmosphere. The food isn't bad at all, but it's your typical over-priced ballpark food. Don't go there too hungry, and try to get drunk before and you can save some money lol -I agree with everyone else who said try to stay at the Hard Rock, it's awesome, and very close to stadium. -The games you mentioned going to are all night games except for Sunday, so I would just buy tickets in the "Fish Tank" or "Outfield Terrace". They are the cheapest and you can always move somewhere closer, that's what I always do lol. After about the 3rd inning or so they don't even really check your ticket when you to the seat. I agree with whoever said for the Sunday game you will want to spring for the seats in the shade. I wouldn't bother getting tickets in advance and paying ticketmasters stupid fees, you can always get them at the box office on gameday, or there are always people selling outside of the stadium. The parking is $10/car and you can definitely find people tailgating outside anyday. I'm glad you decided to come see some of our games, I hope you have an awesome time and I hope our boys put on a good show for you while you are here!

Destrade is another idiot. We just like him b/c he's a Marlins' homer. But he's just that...a homer. Just like Kruk is a Phillies' homer, and just like Phillips is a Mets' homer. They shouldn't allow this on ESPN. It's ridiculous. Put some real analysts on the show. Well you know what, I'd rather watch a Marlins homer anyday rather than a NY or Phillies homer because there are ENOUGH people in the media that hang on those teams balls as it is. I'd rather watch someone who has a real opinion, on the show. After all, Baseball Tonight is supposed to be for a National Audience to watch. It's not local TV. I agree with you, but after years of constantly hearing my team being put down in front of that national audience, I'm not too upset about having someone in our corner.

Add the Herald to the boycott list?
It really annoys me that a female wrote that garbage. It's hard enough to be taken seriously as a girl who is a legitimate sports fan, without dumb C U Next Tuesday's like her spewing half-truths.

Post Game 7/18/08
I just got back from the game myself, nice crowd!! Some f***ing stupid ass Phillies fans around me kept saying "hit it to Uggla" and I said yeah keep hitting it to Uggla so he can get the out, like he has 3 times already when the ball came his way. Idiots. I have to say though I didn't have a good feeling about this game going into it because of our record against grandpa, and because Ricky has been SO spot on recently, he was bound to have an iffy game. We'll get the next 2 though! Where were you sitting, I was sitting near a guy who had a sign that said,"hit it to Uggla". omg no I definitely wasn't anywhere near that (at least not that I saw). I would have killed someone. I was in the outfield Outfield terrace? I got in an argument with one where I kept reminding him that Lidge lost the ASG. Yeah, for about the first 6 innings I was in the OT, then I moved in closer

We better have 30,000 on Friday against the Phillies
^^ It was definitely more than 15,000, I was there. I thought I heard it was like 25,000 or something, but probably about 21,000+ actually there.

Pro-Marlins Rally
We really need to start getting our asses out there. We need BOYCOTT BRAMAN signs or Braman with a big red circle with a line through it and like estan said signs with LET US BUILD OUR STADIUM! ANYONE who is going to a game this weekend or this week try and make a sign to take, I will definitely do the same.

Marlins win, but fans fail to fill seats
The Herald needs to go f*** itself immediately. I love how that was on THE FRONT f***ING PAGE today. Yet if we threw a no-hitter or something it'd probably barely get a mention in the sports section. The media (even our own) loves to sh*t on us. When I was at the game this guy was giving away like marlins stuff if you subscribe to the Herald and I told him I'd subscribe to it when they stop constantly trying to make the team look stupid.

Samson Nervous About Stadium Opening
Some good news today: http://www.miamiherald.com/459/story/608106.html I'm assuming Samson's comments came before the judge tossed out most of the issues. From the last part of that Herald article: "Later, during a lunch break, Samson admitted some concern with the legal proceedings that might continue, saying renderings of the new stadium are ready but won't be released until the case closes. The Marlins hope to break ground by the end of the year. ''It's beginning to worry me -- opening in 2011,'' Samson said."

Samson Nervous About Stadium Opening
Samson Nervous About Stadium Opening Marlins president feeling uneasy about 2011 target date By Alden Gonzalez / MLB.com MIAMI -- Marlins president David Samson is becoming apprehensive about the new stadium opening by 2011. Testifying during the fourth day of auto dealer Norman Braman's attempt to halt Miami's massive public works project -- which includes building the stadium at the Orange Bowl site and refurbishing Overtown and other locations -- Samson was a little uneasy. According to The Miami Herald, Samson said he believes the community supports the detailed ballpark plan designed with the city of Miami and Miami-Dade County. But after Thursday's morning session, Samson said the length of the trial concerns him. "It's beginning to worry me -- opening in 2011," Samson told reporters, according to the Herald. The Marlins hope to break ground this year and have renderings available, but they won't release them until the case is over. Braman is suing the county, the city and the Marlins over the plan to finance the approximately $3 billion project, which includes the ballpark and other developments in downtown Miami. "I believe the public is supportive of using tourist development taxes, from the hundreds and hundreds of e-mails we've got from fans," Samson testified, according to the Herald. The trial's morning session ended with a dispute over the admissibility a public opinion poll taken by Florida International University professor Dario Moreno. The poll, which was allowed by Circuit Court Judge Jeri Beth Cohen, surveyed more than 1,200 likely voters and showed that the majority did not support using the planned tourist tax dollars to build the $515 million, 37,000-seat, retractable-roof stadium. But the Marlins will pay $155 million of that cost, a fact that was left out of the poll.

I think the Miami Marlins Cap should look like this!
Now THAT is perfect. That's what they should do.
