  1. Suck it up Hanley. Grow a pair Gonzalez.
  2. Hermida for Ichiro straight up. Throw in Pinto too.
  3. Just think where we might be had he not gone down earlier in the season.
  4. Thank you Cody!
  5. We need that retractable roof.
  6. How many stolen bases have there been against us?
  7. How is this a stupid idea exactly? I think it's a great opportunity for a lot of people. Nothing to complain about at all.
  8. Yeah, who cares how many innings he pitched? He's leagues more talented than Volstad. Wait to see if hitters adjust. Remember, Anibal Sanchez pitched a no-hitter. Enough said. Dontrelle Willis sound familiar? Certainly rings a bell. Although I'd say Dontrelle is still in at least a half a league above Anibal.

  10. This happens at any event that dispenses alcohol with more than 30,000 present. Nothing shocking.
  11. Maybe the avatar is the curse? I think that Jets banner in your signature is the curse.
  12. How many great players have we produced that were brought up in their very early 20s or late teens? It's a pretty big list.
  13. Taking the football sign is just kinda... retarded. Sorry :lol It would also make a little more sense to use this when the Mets come to town since it's Mets fans who are also Jets fans. Might as well take Hockey/NBA signs as well. :| That's not true. There's plenty of Mets-Giants and Yankees-Jets fans in NY. It's just a misconception that if someone likes one pathetic team, they'll probably like another crappy team in a different sport. Believe me, I see these bumper stickers / flags / hats all the time up here in NY.
  14. Nevermind. I guess I should have said he's been looking a bit better of late and getting some pretty important hits.
  15. Bonifacio with a hit. He's been having a decent June so far.
  16. Absolutely ridiculous. Is Fredi suffering from dementia?
  17. Keep Gload in the lineup. That's all I ask right now.
  18. This team just finds ways to lose game in and game out. Very frustrating.
  19. we are barley going to make Not to mention corn, oats, soybeans and wheat. LOLOLOL I literally lol'd in real life. To the OP, for you and for the Marlins, I hope you win the 1,000. I still don't understand the joke. How is that possible?
  20. Lindstrom has a lot of room to grow. He does have to quit the walks, those will kill us.
  21. I fail to see where he is losing millions. JJ is going to have an incredibly strong arbitration case based on his innings, era, whip, k, etc stats, if the Marlins do not offer him a contract (I find that very likely). JJ isn't losing any money. He isn't being paid for wins, he's being paid for quality innings. I was thinking the same thing reading it.
  22. I like how Badenhop has pitched the last few outings. He's definitely at Anibal's level right now.
  23. And his name is Dan Uggla! It really is remarkable that Uggla is on pace for 31 HR and 118 RBI all while he still has a .212 avg. Just imagine if he got that average up. Seems like the kind of thing steroids would enable. High strikeouts, low on base.. decent amount of HR and RBI. enable? Verb S: (v) enable (render capable or able for some task) "This skill will enable you to find a job on Wall Street"; "The rope enables you to secure yourself when you climb the mountain" Look, I'm not trying to take anything away from his accomplishment. It really is a great feat. But this is what happens when so many players have been linked to steroids. It's baseballs own fault. But this guy would be the classic case of someone trying to make it in the bigs. People like Manny and A-Rod didn't need the stuff, so it's obvious why there is so much more outrage against them. But for Uggla, I could understand it if he does take them. So once again, not saying he did them. But his numbers and minor league woes raise a lot of suspicion on my part.
  24. Barry bonds struck out a ton and had a low on base percentage and alex sancheZ lead the majors in hr and RBI when he played. Didn't you know? Misconceptions like that are the reason we'll never get beyond steroids. Ignorance is bliss, huh? There's plenty of reasons to believe at least 50% have used or still do use steroids. This guy was supposed to be nothing, then screwed around with his stances, and then bursts onto the scene smacking home runs around. Small, bulky guy. Do the math. The Marlins should be legally allowed to use them considering our payroll and ownership.
