  1. Marlins en Miami is open on Saturday? I went last week but it was closed. TBA The lone employee claims to need a day off here and there... I say they need to crack down on these people Always trying to sneak away for a break Outrageous
  2. He is about 109 now, isn't he? Just goes to prove that a lefty can stay around for a long time, especially if he can get one or two lefties out.
  3. Week 12 was a good one. Admin posted an outrageous 15-1 (obviously he must be cheating ) It stays tight at the top, but 83Gator has pulled a game ahead of Das. Remember boys and girls, we have Thanksgiving Day games this week. Don't forget to get your week 13 picks in.
  4. The best record for week 12 goes to Admin @ 15-1! A good week for all as no one produced a losing record. I will have the totals added in HERE as soon as I am finished. *EDIT*-- It is posted now

I must be the oldest here.... Graduated HS in 1980 in Chicago....Graduated Michigan State in 1985....sigh..... You are in the running, but there are at least a few folks that have you beat. You are only as old as you feel. Now move your walker so I can get through.
  6. lol burnett in july? yea right i think the guy i s confused with spoony. I believe the normal recovery time from TJ surgery is 14 to 16 months, so that is not out of the question. Also keep in mind that pitchers don't come right back once they start pitching again, it takes a while of pitching before the full recovery takes hold. I wonder if it might be better to let AJ work his way back by working out of the pen, the same way Morris did in St. Louis. Spooney may not pitch at all in 2004. If he does, it will be some games in September.
  7. whether or not they can keep Mike Lowell, which is unlikely. Wasn't this the same guy that every day for two months leading to the trade deadline kept insisting that Lowell would be gone any day now (or any minute as the deadline approached?) He really has a fixation with Lowell leaving the Phfisch (spell it any way you want )
  8. Day off??? They give you people a day off? Wow, what a cushy job. BTW Received my copy on Saturday, watched it shortly after getting it.

sprite remix has no caffene. whats teh point? Niether does regular Sprite. That is one of their selling points for that product.
  10. I received a couple of PMs about this week's picks. I changed what needed to be changed, and am adding these picks for alkazoid based on the time the PM was sent. my picks for all the games that start later than 4pm: Denver St. Louis Cincinnati Kansas City Tennessee Miami Tampa Bay 6-1

  13. Dallas Minnesota Buffalo New York Jets New England Philadelphia Cleveland Baltimore Green Bay Denver St. Louis San Diego Kansas City Tennessee Miami Tampa Bay 12-4
  14. First place I might look would be Nokia's web site. Of couse, if there were free additional tones, it probably gives you the site in your purchase information.
  15. Here is the schedule for week 13, Thanksgiving weekend. All picks need to be in prior to Kickoff on Thursday November 27. The thread will be locked around kickoff time. Make sure you have picks in ALL 16 GAMES. Thursday, Nov. 27 Green Bay at Detroit, 12:30 pm Miami at Dallas, 4:05 pm Sunday, Nov. 30 Arizona at Chicago, 1:00 pm Atlanta at Houston, 1:00 pm Buffalo at N.Y. 16. Actually Cape, the story you linked was posted a week ago, the one from Das was today. They could be closer. Then again, they may not be. But to say the Fish are any closer would not exactly be an objective statement.
  17. I might do multiple categories. Lets see, if we set the minimun after this past week at 134, it should work
  18. I firmly believe this had something to do with Rune's attempted take over of the site. There has been some intelligence chatter along the Rune network. I may just be jumping to conclusions though
  19. Alright WC, enough with the impersonations. This thread (which had been good) took a very wrong turn. CLOSED!
  20. I'm winning percentage champ once again! Except for the fact that SuperAngels is at .714. Thats one reason why I don't use winning percentage for the standings, it rewards people for playing less games.
  21. Josh, we don't know exactly who might replace Castillo. If you get a guy that bats .280, but gets the ball out of the infield a heck of a lot more than Castillo, the odds are that you score more runs by getting Pierre all the way around rather than just advance him a base. There are just too many variables involved, nothing is certain. Let the process of the next few weeks take shape, then we can attack this subject with a better approach.
  22. I remember that the most vocal person against me was Das, but everybody else also expressed their dislike for the idea as well. Funny, I remember Das being against Pudge. It had a lot to do with game calling, a feeling I also shared. Luckily, we were both wrong in that respect.
  23. Remember to get your picks in on time, the thread will be locked around kickoff time. Make sure you have picks in ALL 16 GAMES! Sunday, Nov. 23 Carolina at Dallas, 1:00 pm Detroit at Minnesota, 1:00 pm Indianapolis at Buffalo, 1:00 pm Jacksonville at N.Y. Jets, 1:00 pm New England at Houston, 1:00 pm New Orleans at Philadelphia, 1:00 pm Pittsburgh at Cleveland, 1:00 pm Seattle at Baltimore, 1:00 pm San Francisco at Green Bay, 1:00 pm Chicago at Denver, 4:05 pm St. Louis at Arizona, 4:05 pm Cincinnati at San Diego, 4:15 pm Oakland at Kansas City, 4:15 pm Tennessee at Atlanta, 4:15 pm Washington at Miami, 8:30 pm Monday, Nov. 24 N.Y. Giants at Tampa Bay, 9:00 pm Good Luck! REMINDER: Next week (week 13) will have games on Thursday since it is Thanksgiving. I will post the schedule a little early, so remember to get the picks in before kickoff on Thursday, not Sunday!
  24. Give me a few minutes, I was updating the running totals. EDIT: They're posted now. Have at it. *REMINDER* Week 13 will have games on Thursday due to Thanksgiving. I will post that schedule a little early (maybe this Thursday) to give you plenty of time to get your picks in. With those Thursday games, you will have to make sure your picks are in by Thursday, not Sunday!
