  1. I never heard any of that b4, that's cool. But i heard last year, that the Yankees scouts gave Miguel a bad review, and when the "big guys" saw how he played for Florida they fired those scouts...
  2. I wish i could vote for all of them, but if u do that it kind of eliminates your vote becuz not everybody's voting for everbody and its like your vote won't exist becuz u voted the whole team. *whoa i hope that made sense* Anyway, im voting JP infor sure and i have to think about the rest....
  3. ^ :lol :lol :lol ^
  4. Alex Gonzalez was #4 on sports centers top 10 list with that sick defensive play he made today, yet again
  5. ^ Don't forget Juan Pierre^
  6. I don't think that's a good idea. I don't think its a good idea to walk guys unless it is completely necessary... Bonds is Human not like he's gonna hit a homer every single at bat....
  7. I wish we could keep the WHOLE team together! :confused Hopefully we can ....
  8. Choi and Cabrera can't be mentioned in the same sentence? R u kidding me? Choi and Cabrera are 2 very young talented players... Choi makes some very very very smart plays, he also has a very very good eye at the plate, and he has a ton of potential. Cabrera is just amazing...

  12. DENVER -- The spotlight is finding Marlins center fielder Juan Pierre, even though he never actively searches for it. The mellow Pierre, the undisputed hardest-working player on the Marlins if not in all of baseball, is receiving recognition as the top leadoff hitter in baseball. An MLB.com survey of players, managers and front office personnel ranks Pierre right up their with Seattle sensation Ichiro Suzuki as the best in the game. Others noted in an MLB.com survey are Dodgers' Dave Roberts, Brewers' Scott Podsednik, Twins' Shannon Stewart and Astros' Craig Biggio. "That blows my mind to be looked at as one of the elite leadoff guys," Pierre said. "I haven't changed that much of my approach or anything. I don't think my numbers are grotesquely different than from when I started. I guess the World Series, with people watching a little bit, helped." In the MLB.com survey, Yankees outfielder Gary Sheffield praised Pierre. "Juan Pierre and Ichiro," Sheffield said. "I'd give Ichiro the edge over Pierre because he has a little more power, but they both have great on-base percentages, which you need." Added Sandy Alomar Jr of the White Sox: "I played with Juan Pierre in Colorado, and he's exceptional. He can turn around a team into a contender with his speed. He has the ability to distract a pitching staff and cause them to make mistakes." If Pierre had a vote, he'd go with Ichiro and Dave Roberts. Pierre also says Pittsburgh's Tike Redman is someone to watch down the line. What's interesting is, Pierre may not be the best leadoff hitter on the Marlins. Luis Castillo, who led off before Pierre was acquired, is a proven leadoff batter who helps Pierre now by batting second. "Luis Castillo could be right up there if not leading it," Pierre said. "It makes it a lot easier for me having someone like that behind me." Marlins left fielder Jeff Conine, who previously played in the American League, likes Pierre and Ichiro. "He knows his game, and he doesn't try to vary that at all," Conine said of Pierre. "He knows he can get on by a bunt. He can get on by a ground ball. He can get on by a line drive. He's not going to try to do anything outside of his capabilities right now. He's pretty similar to Ichiro. Ichiro, he can put down a bunt. I don't care who he bunts it to, he's beating it out. The guy is that fast. Very similar type styles. Ichiro has more power. In BP, he launches them like the best power hitters on that team. It's impressive to watch. Both are fine players. [Pierre] is creative. Whatever avenue he needs to get that base hit, whether it's a slap bunt to the shortstop or pulling it down the line. He's great at making that stuff up."
  13. That's sad... :lol :lol :lol
  14. Personally i am sick of all of this negativity. I feel bad for Oliver though. I admit he isn't that good, but that's becuz he isn't doing something right. Maybe his hearts not in it.. i dunno. Becuz if it was u can only get better i dunno why he isn't? Maybe he's not practicing enough i dont know, but there is something he isn't doing right. Cuz if he really wanted to pitch good he could and he's just not... :confused
  15. Actually Bump struck out the first 2. Then the 3rd hitter hit a single which scored 2 guys. 1 went to third and the hitter to first. Now there are 2 men at the corners. Then he walked the next guy which was pretty dumb in myopinion for another bases loaded, then the next hitter hit a single or double *forgot* which scored 3 runs. 1 man left on bse, and they got the one more out they needed. over. But that was yesterday... its over now :confused . Can't wait for the game today at 3!

    I say... Juan D'Vaughn Pierre!
  17. Yea, and i agree that they should have left Wayne in for a little longer, becuz lately Fox hasn't been at his best. And I had a bad feeling when he walked onto that mound... :confused
  18. I don't think Bump blew it at all. He was put into a bases loaded situation with no outs.. he didn't cause that. He struck out the first 2 batters for the first 2 outs, and allowed 1 hit which scored 2 runners, big wow! I really don't think he should have walked anybody purposely though, that sucked... :confused
  19. Too early to tell... I mean form what i've seen of Oliver i'm a bit scared now. I know he's proabably beating himself up now though, i feel bad for him, he has the ability but he's not consistant at all.I say give him a few more starts, u know... But i voted Justin Wayne, i see a lot of potential in this guy. And he's been pitching OUTSTANDING lately, but who knows?
  20. I? ? ? to be mean but you have to be pretty dumb to either A. think Bonds is less valuable than JP or B. to think Bonds is ove? ? ? . Yea u r pretty rude calling me "dumb" for stating my OPINION But your opinion is wrong. Just because its your opinion doesn't mean it isn't dumb. Wow, u r RIDICULOUS! An opinion can never be wrong. Whats up with rudeness, sh!t! Just cuz i think Bonds is overrated and u don't?... big woop. U sound like a child... and i'm out...
  21. I hate to be mean but you have to be pretty dumb to either A. think Bonds is less valuable than JP or B. to think Bonds is overrated. Yea u r pretty rude calling me "dumb" for stating my OPINION
  22. Bonds is so overrated! The only reason why people are paying to see him is becuz they wanna see him break some record. But since when does the amount people wnating to c u dtermine how good of a player u are? The only thing Barry does is hit homeruns, and sometimes he can't even do that becuz they walk him so damn much. And what does Barry score when they walk him... nothing. If u walk Juan PIerre, ur in trouble, cuz that boy will run. If u don't walk him, he'll just hit the ball and get on base anyway. So i think JP is more valuble than Bonds... And that guy who said that JP was more valuable.. U the Man!!! JP IS THE mAN!!!
  23. U people are horrible...
  24. AFLAAACCC!!! :lol That duck is so cute.
