What's your take on Orange Bowl proposal?
acc is a lot better than you'd think: Tech, Clemson, NC State, UNC, are all not as sorry as people would think. i dont know.... unc (really) sucks (defense 117), at least until spurrier takes over as head coach in 2005

The Reason They Can't Build In Bicentenial Park
There is a very large sewer lift station on the site that abutts biscayne blvd. That is why it always smells like crap. Why does that make so much sense? dont the heat play near bicentenial? maybe thats why it smells like crap

City of Miami to be presented with OB Plans Today
Where are all the Edcanes doubters? judgement day is over and edcanes was right looks like the marlins are down to 2 options for the future: obowl, northern virginia (forget ft laud. that joke of a proposal)

City of Miami to be presented with OB Plans Today
I've been re-reading the article from the Herald and I've seen a discrepancy, it's probably just a mis-print. But in the article posted at 5:57pm, the ballpark will be on the Southern side of the Orange Bowl.? In the article posted at 7:57, the ballpark will be on the Northern side. Any opinions on which side would be better?? southern i believe the buses to the bowl go by the southern side, so maybe thats a plus... why would the busses matter? they could always move them well, now we know the "fish bowl" gonna be on the northern side, close to the river, too far for splash landings (obviously) all i was saying about the buses before was that it would be a plus if you wouldnt have to move em
-
What's your take on Orange Bowl proposal?
remember one thing: this orange/fish bowl would be in the middle of a latin community that alone would do wonders for attendence another thing that would definitely help attendence is ticket prices, which will prob go up because we need the $$$. expect higher ticket prices but nothing too outrageous (see: boston)

Link to Pics of proposed stadium layout
The layout looks like it's more geared to be a baseball facility than a football one. Looks great to me, and it may be distorted, but it looks like a pitchers park. In the end, I see us ending up in the OB, just because we have nowhere else to go. i like those pictures it really does look like they want a nice baseball stadium but i dont know whats goin on with the obowl picture well, this could happen, and i want it to get done in miami this is a better idea than ft lauderdale stadium

What's your take on Orange Bowl proposal?
I rate it a 1. I won't see the tape until tomorrow but from what I've read it's an awful plan at an awful site and the Marlins won't accept it as presented. i think they might if this team wants a future, its in miami
-
What's your take on Orange Bowl proposal?
i'll give it a 1. it isn't even a real proposal. it's a token plan by the city. youre a canes fan arent you? well, i am, and one thing i like about this is that the ob gets a face lift
-
What's your take on Orange Bowl proposal?
id have to say this is a 3, because there are better sites than the orange bowl and the parking is really up in the air but i give it a 3 because it is really the best plan so far (actually in miami) and it has close proximity to metrorail, a plus for me...

Pete Rose just can't quit lying
mlb are a bunch of hypocrites they say they dont want to deal with rose, but when they can have a nice moment with the all century team and increase attention, they bring him out. mlb needs to make a stand against this guy and shut him out completely

Connections to Marlins

UF, FSU, UM: Which is more annoying?
If you don't want to go see your team at a great atmosphere while they are top ranked, you don't care. And if you'd rather go to a lousyass heat game or panthers game rather than a canes' game you don't care. Canes' fans are like SoFla sports' fans: they suck! dude, every time you repeat that, you really kill your argument by completely not noting the differences between the two cities. i'm surprised that you'd use such rationale since you are FROM miami, so you would be the first to know that it isn't a college town. believe it or not, but non-college towns ALWAYS have attendance problems for college football games. it's not because people don't care about the team, but more the fact that the city doesn't revolve around one school & team. thank you alkazoid big cities never have gr8 attendence just look at ucla (la), usc (la), washington (seattle) all three, like um, have a respectable following, over the last 10 yrs have been contending (esp. usc) and all 3 have crappy attendence and whoever thought 2003 um attendence was bad, get ready for 2005: no fsu, no vt, no uf
