June 1, 200422 yr I've noticed a ton of threads have been getting closed because of a couple of bad flaming posts. The thread could have 30 great posts and 2 flaming posts and it's closed (couple of my threads in particular), why not just delete the posts in question and leave the thread open? It would benefit everyone.
June 1, 200422 yr Agreed! Simply take out any posts that "Marlins" has made...and a thread should usually be SPAM free! :shifty
June 1, 200422 yr Yeah, definetly what I'd prefer the moderators to do as well. I'm going to go look at the recently closed threads and just clean em up and reopen them.
June 2, 200422 yr wouldn't that just take too long for the mods? ... having to go in there and clean out other peoples mess ? just my two cents
June 2, 200422 yr Author wouldn't that just take too long for the mods? ... having to go in there and clean out other peoples mess ? just my two cents It takes no more than 1 second (2 if you've got 56k!) to delete a post. If more than 50% of a thread is ruined with flaming and whatnot, then close it, but if there are only a couple of problem posts there is absolutely no reason not to leave the thread open and just delete the bad posts.
June 2, 200422 yr We have a special abilitiy to split out a bunch of posts at once with checkboxes. It's not a problem.
June 3, 200422 yr Agreed! Simply take out any posts that "Marlins" has made...and a thread should usually be SPAM free! :shifty i dont get it, why r u always picking on that guy?

Just look at when he posts. I mean, for Gods sake he thought that the Marlins only won the World Series last year because we have some Jews in the FO!

June 3, 200422 yr wouldn't that just take too long for the mods? ... having to go in there and clean out other peoples mess ? just my two cents Like Admin says its no problem They can split or merge topics together. Also they dont have to delete posts one by one in a closed or open thread. They can just delete all posts at once.
June 4, 200422 yr Agreed! Simply take out any posts that "Marlins" has made...and a thread should usually be SPAM free! :shifty Spam? U mean like posting A LOT for no reason? Well um, you haven't even been here a full month and you have over a thousand posts....
