Congrats to Penny for leaving my dog house

As all of you know I have hated on Penny for not being mature enough, for not reaching his potential, for trying to bother McKeon, but he has changed his ways and has become the major league pitcher we all hoped he would.

Congratulations Mr. Penny.

Now, I would like to announce the new resident of the CapeFish Dog House: Josh Beckett.

He's a jerk, he's got alot to learn and he has blisters, but that will change or he shall be out of here.

So Josh, until you grow up...you are now the one I shall hate on. Welcome

good am not alone...till this guy gets back down to earth from the W.S. and ripping people that he should be listening to he will never be the pitcher people hope him to be...all the hype and he's not going to win 15 this year maybe that will bring him back down and come back next year ready to learn and win...i really hope for the sake of him and the team that happens this year..

I must have missed something.

Did Beckett say anything bad recently?

He badmouthed the trainer to the press, he cussed out the poor Twins TV reporter here in Fort Myers, he has been nothing great so far this season and (biggest thing to me) he knew the blister was forming and said nothing.

If a blister is forming, you can stop it with treatment if you tell the trainer, but no, Beckett had to tough it out and then he cries like a baby because he is on the DL, as he should be.

I like Josh and all, I hate to admit he's acting like an ass. Someone needs to put him in his place.

beckett has never had his head up his ass. i recall him not being upset at all when he had to take a paycut. he said that he didnt deserve a raise scince he had been injured alot. and yes, he did make comments he shouldnt have but, i am sure it was just out of rage and frustration

Hopefully. I like him. He has treated us very well when we have met him. I don't want to see his reputation to go down the drain.

josh is a competitor....you always want a guy like that on your team.

but he needs to learn which battles to pick...and when to tone things down a notch.

I don't get why he wants to hide a developing blister. :banghead

Tell the trainer and get rid of it. Better to miss a start than to miss 3, right?

We need a Lou Piniella vs. Rob Dibble type of fight from Jack and Josh... that should set him straight...

no, that would destroy the ballteam's chemistry.

What we need is for Josh to grow up. A good booing at home will get his mind thinking.

competitors play through pain and injury.

a pitcher cannot pitch effectively with a blister. he is not a competitor, he is an idiot. Don't glorify stupidity.

jason schmidt last year. nuff said. josh beckett is not schmidt. he cannot keep control and do what he needs to do with blisters. it isn't his game, so he should stop forcing the issue.

Old pitchers. This is a new ERA where 110 pitches is pushing it. Don't say Josh is smart for pitching with blisters.

It was stupid and it needs to be treated. If he keeps trying to act like a macho man with a cocky attitude and a career .500 record, people will laugh at him. And people will hit him hard. I'd rather win tahn see him become the next Darren Oliver because of a little problem that needs to be taken care of. He really needs to grow up and not complain and whine about everything.

read my previous post about becketts attitude.

and for the record, no one said he was smart for it.
