Either Smitherman or Guillen would HAVE to be a part of the deal. Still can't believe Dunn sees no playing time with the Reds yet they say he is not on the block. Mind boggling

July 6, 200322 yr I happened to watch the Reds v. Mets tonight. I do not want Adam Dunn. He is second to last in the NL with runners in scoring position - worse than even DLee. He has 23 HR's and but only 46 RBI's - not good. I'd take Guillen over Dunn in a heartbeat.

Dunn has a space reaching ceiling and Guillen could be back to normal and yelling at coaches tomorrow. All Dunn needs is a real coaching staff to fix his swing. Last year Bob Boone thought he walked too much and messed with his swing and now there is a huge hole in it....before that he was scary...

July 6, 200322 yr just fyi.... the scouts may not have been there solely to look at Brad Penny...but could be scouting the Marlins and/or Phillies teams and possibly looking at other players. Granted a large number probably did show up to check out Penny....but not all.
July 6, 200322 yr Any deal involving an OF like Dunn will have to coincide with a trade of Lee so Cabs can play first...or the acquired OF will play first. Otherwise there is no room for the traded player.
