July 25, 200321 yr not only does he have gut, he's having a heck of the year for the expos (for his standard that is). Soon enough he'll be somewhere else... Florida? :shifty

July 25, 200321 yr Pavano was always great out of the pen... And Livan would be a nice addition... Just a suggestion... i agree, but pavano is doing just fine as a starter. for livan's price we could have the best bp in the league.
July 25, 200321 yr i agree, but pavano is doing just fine as a starter. for livan's price we could have the best bp in the league. Livan wouldn't cost much at all for the remander of this year. It's next year in which we would have to worry about his salary. ANd I completely agree that Pavz has been great as our 5th starter, but he could bolster the pen amazingly, and Livan would be a slight upgrade over Pavz as a starter...

July 25, 200321 yr But I'd love to have him here again... What for? To scream "I love you Miami!" in an empty stadium or eat McDonalds and Burger King? :w00t  Seriously now, the guy is an inning eater, but he will never be the pitcher his brother is (or was). He is a mediocre pitcher who wins as much as he losses (14-14 kind of pitcher), but with that certain capacity to be great when the game counts, meaning playoff pitcher. This is the only thing in which he is similar to his brother. I don't know if I want him back... don't think so! :thumbdown
July 25, 200321 yr Livan would take a paycut to play here again. He LOVES miami. He came out in a spanish talk show saying his dream was to play in miami with his brother.
