Opinionated notes from tonights game: Almanza needs to be sent down. Need I say more?

 

Tonight, Derrek Lee showed just how valuable and talented he is. He hit a HR, showing his power. He hit a double and a single, showing contact. He stole a base, showing speed. And he made s few plays with the glove as well. THIS is a prime example why Derrek Lee is as good as me and Shamrock claim. Not too many 1B can do all the things he has done tonight in one game.

 

And tonight was vintage Juan Pierre. He is so valuable to this team it's not even funny...

gotta agree. Lee came through in a tight game but I still gotta give the MVP to Mike Williams

I am telling you guys, building from within (D-Dub and Cabs) is better and cheaper than going out there and acquiring people.

Phils bullpen was also used up and they did't need that with Duckworth taking the hill tomorrow. Also I think this game could really bring this team together while doing the opposite to the Phillies. Really heartbreaking to lose a game like that.

What do you guys think about this, I'm starting to think that we need a left-handed reliever more than we need a left-fielder. Another bat would be nice but our bullpen is still not to playoff caliber.

I have vouched for Derrek Lee as long as he's had to be vouched for, and anyone on this board will stick by that claim. I have ALWAYS stood by Lee...

When Williams took the mound in the 8th I knew the marlins had a good chance to take the lead, but i never dreamed of them scoring 8 runs! It was awsome. I loved the fist pump by Lowell when he got walked.

Im definitely getting excited about Cabs...hes actually starting to work counts and got 2 hits tonight...plus he hit to flyballs 5 ft in front of the track. A-Gon also had some nice swings which is awesome.
