I just wanted to say this before the "OMG Bill Robinson isn't the problem" crowd came out.

I still want him fired.

I really don't think this is his fault.

The lineup shuffling wasn't helping us, and let's just face it, sometimes players have slumps. We just happened to have a period when 3 or more of our players were in major hitting slumps (Lowell, Lo Duca, Pierre), and having your leadoff hitter in a slump tends to hurt your team.

As a team we're hitting .270, which shows that things could be a lot worse. Until tonight, we had been having so much trouble scoring runners that were in scoring position.

Bill Robinsons still needs to get fired.

I don't care if we score 25 runs tonights.

This will just show our inconsistency when we score few runs tomorrow.

Don'let the fetus decieve you!

I'd also like to add that it seems Rich Waltz reads the boards and is a very pro-Robinson guy.

He failed to mention two (three to some) years of an inept offense. But I don't blame him he's only been down here for a few months.

Waltzy, mention that next time you chew us out. :thumbup

yup, Waltz must remember that we are the audience who tunes in every night and we have followed this team longer than he has. Since 2002 we have the same problems even with new hitters.

Before Enc came here he tore apart Cincy's opponents with homers, doubles, bunts, singles, etc.

After being Robinsoned he has sucked.

Why do you think Waltz reads the boards?

Certain pro-Bill Robinson things he said during the rally.

It could be a coincidence.

My sentiments for Robinson won't change until this team hits as well with RISP as they do otherwise, and we aren't bottom dwellers in runs scored.

More likely, he was responding to the newspapers in the Florida area talking about getting rid of Robinson.

What do you guys expect to happen once Robinson gets fired? For us to magically start hitting? That's just not going to happen. The time to fire him was after last season. It's too late now.

Yeah i was thinking the same thing, he said something that was said on the boards a few days ago which i forgot what it was.

Exactly if this offense starts scoring runs like they are supposed to, I'll drop my case against him. But this is going to take a while to happen.

I'm not going to demand Robinson's firing, just like I wasn't demanding that players be traded. Ride it out, this team is good enough to win. As crappy as they'd been playing, it's only been a 2-week slide. Give them time, they're good enough to turn it around.

lets see this thread in a couple months and see where we are.

Ofcourse not.

This is going to take a while. But I'd rather fire him and see what a new hitting coach can go before thinking of trading Lowell, Pierre or any other player.

It's been a 2 week losing streak, but not scoring runs when it counts goes back a full year.

Agreed, I still want him gone as well. 1 good game does not make up for anything.

Someone should start a topic that targets Rich Waltz and asks him to post a reply. Then we can know for sure.

Well known people will never reveal their identity.

They are at least some Marlins Executive/staff on these boards, they just wont reveal themselfs.

:cool
