July 31, 200521 yr For those of you who complain about there being nothing before the 20th century, I'd be hard pressed to find someone from before 1930 who posts here.
July 31, 200521 yr 80's. Best cartoons ever. Awesomely bad music. It had everythang. And let's not forget it's the decade of CHOCAIN-YAH! "You got tha' yayo? You got tha' stufff?"
July 31, 200521 yr 1920's, ain't nothing but a bunch of partying, bootleg alcohol, sitting on the top of poles, and having lotsa money.
July 31, 200521 yr The 60's. Human Rights came a long way, and the technology revolution really started to take off with man landing on the moon.
July 31, 200521 yr The 40's, it paved the way for the rest of the century and beyond. 881076 You forgot the part where millions of people died in war, the biggest threat to human existence was invented, and it paved the way for the Cold War which left the world on the brink of destruction for decades. The 1940's were a decade full of some of the greatest Americans ever, but it was certainally not a real great decade IMO.
July 31, 200521 yr 90s, I grew up in it. Stock Market flurished, internet invented and perfected. Cable TV perfected, Cold War ended. Only problem was the Gulf War which wasnt all that significant, expansion age in sports...whats not to like? Cell Phones more prominent.
July 31, 200521 yr The 1950's: The promise of the 1940's was completed and the promise of the 1960's created.
July 31, 200521 yr The 1960's, it started an age of liberalism and the Kennedy administration started a long era of the Democrats controlling the Senate. Also, I won 3 Purple Hearts.
July 31, 200521 yr I chose 1910-1919. World War 1- set in motion events that happened the rest of the century- politically, artistically and economically.

August 1, 200521 yr It's not called the Greatest Generation for nothing. 881234 Generation as in the people, not the age. The age was full of war, controversy and uncertainty.

August 1, 200521 yr I'm tempted to say 60's because of the sex, drugs, and rock and roll, but I'll say 20's because that's how far back you have to go to really live in an untainted world (i.e. rivers are not polluted etc.) My grandfather would tell me about how they would catch fresh water shrimp in certain rivers that if you fish in them now you'll catch a coke bottle and a turd if you're lucky.
August 1, 200521 yr A decade in which a Democrat was president for only 385 days is by-far the best for me. So I go with the 80's. (Can't forget the enormous defense spending budgets.)
