August 16, 200520 yr im new 2 this but been thing asking for a while about this as a possible lineup.. 1- Pierre 2- Gonzo 3- delgado 4- cabrera 5- encarnacion 6- lo duca (when healthy) 7- castillo 8- lowell 9- pitcher been thinking that the combination of castillo and pierre isnt working as it once did so bring castillo down in the lineup to hit after lo duca who gets on base a lot have castillo a situational hitter hit behind him and get lo duca to score with more runs per game and if pierre gets on gonzo has the talent to find a whole with JPs speed another easy run. Gonzo should be getting more credit he is hitting .280
August 16, 200520 yr Gonzo said he doesn't feel comfortable hitting 5 and would like to be moved down, I really doubt 2 is where he would like to go.

August 16, 200520 yr How bout sitting Lowell for a couple of days to see if he can finally regroup.... Pierre Castillo Cabrera Delgado Encarnacion LoDuca Conine Gonzo Pitcher Jack can figure out the line up better than I can... I just think it would be good to sit down Lowell for some games and let Conine play left and Cabs at third. I know Cabs hasnt played third in a while, but I am sure that with a couple of practice sessions, he can be broken in again. Afterall, he played the position all of his life.
August 16, 200520 yr Author No. 903649[/snapback] Lowell isnt hitting anywhere in the lineup so it wouldnt matter to put him at second gonzo is htting in the bottom just fine with the lack of pitches he see's kets face it yea lowell was a bad ass and is probably gonna b a bad ass next year but this year he is straight garbage and dont get me wrong lowell is still one of my favorite players but i face the facts

It'd probably look more like Pierre Castillo Cabrera Delgado Encarnacion Lo Duca Aguila Gonzalez And it's all a moot point anyway, if Lowell hasn't produced for over a year, there's little to no chance that sitting him down would help. It would probably hurt, rattling his confidence even more. He is in right now for his phenomninal glove, nothing else. As for Conine in LF, I'd almost rather have Aguila out there, better range, better arm, and he has showed a tremendous amount of pop in his bat.
August 16, 200520 yr so lets do this Pierre Castillo Lowell Delgado Cabrera Lo Duca Encarnacion Gonzalez by putting lowell in the 3 spot say pierre and castillo get on base, top of first mike lowell is up with 2 on, no out, and cabrera behind him. will they pitch around him or will he get pitches to hit?
August 16, 200520 yr I wouldnt mind sticking Lowell at #8 except Jack wont change the lineup right now. We are only 2.5 back.
August 16, 200520 yr This is the worst time to "shake things up." We're winning games, there's no sense in messing up the batting order.
August 16, 200520 yr i agree with accord, we have been winning most series since the philly one after the ASG, and we finally have our full lineup back.. however i wouldnt mind seeing conine starting in the OF and Cabs at 3rd. Its tough to sit Niner after the games he had when starting
August 16, 200520 yr The lineup has been changed several times this year with no results. Leave it as it is and change the coaching staff and manager at the end of the season.

August 16, 200520 yr I don't know. We are winning games, yes, but this last series we only scored 6 runs against some subpar pitching. And two of those runs were walked in. By they way "que_bola_with_mikey_lowell", try mixing a period in with your posts. Sentences are a good thing and make for easier reading.

August 16, 200520 yr I'm tempted to close every thread that starts with "Hey, how about this lineup idea...." Ponderous. And Jack ain't surfing the web, scouring message boards for ideas before he makes out his lineup card. Take my word for it.

August 16, 200520 yr Hehhe, yes move Luis our 400 OBS guy back in the line up He is on base almost all the time, so lets move him down yep makes sense. hehehe Sorry I rather stick lowell in the 3 hole.
