Shut-Out Record

Featured Replies

ESPN said last night adter shuting out the Pads, we are holding the most shut-out victories in both leagues. We have 14 and just extended that lead tonight with number 15! for our 3rd shut-out victory in a row!

Our starters are coming up huge at the right time.

:notworthy DTrain, Juch, and AJ

3 shutouts in a row is AMAZING.

didn't we do it against the expos in the beginning of last year?

Yep.

Although everyone knows our big 3 starters are whats been carrying this team we cannot discount the contributions of moehler and jones. Without those two we wouldnt be where we are now. The marlins are playing good team baseball of late and hopefully it can help us extend the season

I wonder what the record is for shutouts in a season by a team, does anyone know?

Bob Gibson alone threw 13 shutouts in 1968, and he's not even the individual season record holder.

Cubs had 32 way back in 1909...

ESPN reported yesterday that we were the first team since the Twins in 2004 to post 3 back to back shutouts! :thumbup good job AJ, Josh, and D-Train

Didn't we do it last year against the Expos, as someone mentioned earlier in the thread?
