absolutely sucks. What torture it is to watch this team. And the worst losses of all the season have come right when we need to win.

Season's over. Need a big shakeup, cause this team just isn't working right now. What an embarrassment.

I would be livid if I was Beckett right now. Pitch a great game and your team f***s up offensively in the top of the eight and throws it away in the bottom of the inning.

It's not healthy being a marlins fan.

well thats not true we got two world series in 7 years but this year has been VERY VERY bad

yup it's very hard, we absolutely bombed it tonight. We were right there :pullhair

Well I love my Marlins, but Im a realistic person in saying this is our worst team of all time. We look like the cliche deer in front of the headlights. Its sickening.

Cant pitch. Cant win against our own division. Cant hit. Cant hold on to late inning leads. We plain suck. Even if we make it to the playoffs, we would be playing like a 1 legged horse in a race, better to just shoot us now. :(

Like I said in the game thread: It's bad enough that they're losing, but they're playing just plain bad baseball too (bullpen imploding, Gonzo getting picked off, Lo Duca popping up a bunt, 3 Ks to end the game). That's whats so frustrating.

The 2005 team is not even remotely close to being as bad as some of the other teams in our history, hell we're still above .500 and regardless, we were in the race with a legitimate chance to win up until the last few weeks of the season.

We've played some of the worst GAMES in Marlins history, but this isn't a bad team by Marlins standards.

yeah, the errors down the stretch, the baserunning blunders, just awful. hate to see it when the game's on the line.

sigh...

Exactly. This season we had the most potential of any squad we have put on the field, yet we have simply sucked.

Philly just put up 5 runs in the top of the ninth to take the lead. That's a team. I hate them, but they are far better than us this year. I hope Cleveland wins. That's a fun team to watch.

We were never meant to win in those years though. This is a season we were seen by everybody as a playoff team. This is the reason why this team should be considered the worst.

The 97 Marlins were the best team we ever fielded, this one is (or should have been) a close second though.

This team is not worse than the '98 and '01 teams, this team is just the most underachieving and disappointing one.

I wonder if all of this f***ing up great pitched games from our starters will make them think twice about resigning in the future if BIG changes arent' made.

Id have to say 2003. :p To overcome so much including one of the biggest David and Goliath WS match ups of all time just has to have me give that team the cake. :D

I agree. I expected nothing from the 98ers and was never disappointed. This team breaks my heart every damn night.

damn there were so many games we should of won what a shame

EXACTLY! And thats not even based on being the favorite in the match up, we just plain f***ed up alot of games. :banghead

The Braves, Phillies and Mets have shown us what it means to hit "close and late". I hope the guys were taking a lesson.

4 games this week

Speaking about lessons, I can imagine all the spanish curse words Delgado has beein writing in his notebook all year. :lol

it's not the life of a Marlins fan usually.

if you take a couple of steps back, I'm pretty happy as a Marlins fan that I've gotten to experience 2 world series champs.

However this season has been a heartbreaker lately, no doubt about it.

I'm living in the present. Of all the teams in the MLB, the Marlins have been the most disappointing based on expectations.

my stomach hurts....it's not healthy to watch the game like this...can't wait for next year. The FO will have to do something with that bullpen. I feel sorry for Carlos Delgado and our starting pitchers.... :crying

I too have enjoyed being a fan. At least we didn't have to wait 100 years between our world championships! I appreciate all the joy and entertainment this team has given me over the years.

We'll get 'em next year.

The life of a marlins fan is actually not that bad. We have two WS championships in 15 years of franchise, and we will contend for a long time it seems. So it is not that bad, we just can't win it every year, no one can.

You gotta be kidding me. Seems like a few people got it right, but for the others...WAKE UP. We have two championships in the past 8 years.

Certainly awful for us. I'm sure the Cubs fans, White Sox fans, etc. etc. etc. feel soooo bad for us.
