September 26, 200521 yr He was impressive last night. I say let the man have one start this last week. Three spots he can replace: Moehler/Valdez's spot. Why? :plain Do I really need to explain? Josh Beckett's spot. Why? Beckett has some shoulder tendonitis. AJ's spot. Why? One last "F*** you" on McKeon's part (from some of us as well) towards AJ.
September 26, 200521 yr Not Jack' style One last "F*** you" on McKeon's part (from some of us as well) towards AJ
September 26, 200521 yr After AJ's comments I'd say there is good chance Josh starts this coming weekend against the Braves.
September 26, 200521 yr Let Josh Beckett have a day off if he wants one. If he's up for pitching, let him pitch. I say we put Josh Johnson in for Moehler/Valdez.
September 26, 200521 yr Not Jack' style One last "F*** you" on McKeon's part (from some of us as well) towards AJ I hope your wrong. I'd love to see Jack just sit the creep down or suspend him without pay.
September 26, 200521 yr I'm all for giving him a start. He's looked solid in limited duty. I think there's a good chance he'll be in competition for one of the starting roles next season.
September 26, 200521 yr Part of this is education. He says it in the same article mentioning that AJ will probably come in an apologize tomorrow. But it still makes the point that AJ needs to look in the mirror. No one is perfect. Give it you all and everything will be fine with McKeon.
September 26, 200521 yr I wanna give willis as many chances as we can.. go to a short rotation for him to try to get to 24 - 25 wins maybe.. The more the better for him I think. But otherwise sure give a shot to johnson.
September 26, 200521 yr I am horrible at math but will Dontrelle be pitching the last game of the season?
September 26, 200521 yr A rotation of Willis/Beckett/Olsen/Johnson/Vargas might be what this team needs. Vargas showed he could get the job done. Olsen did as well in limited pt. Johnson is in the same boat is Olsen.

Sorry to say it but we're not making the postseason... I know we're techincally not out of it but let's be honost... it's not going to happen... I'd love to see Jack shake some things up and try out some new ideas
September 26, 200521 yr I am horrible at math but will Dontrelle be pitching the last game of the season? Yup
September 26, 200521 yr Moehler, Valdez, Quantrill and every waiver-wire pitcher will get a start before Johnson does. Heck, if enough hurricanes and injuries occur... look for a 4-man rotation just to keep Johnson from starting

Vargas won't be a rookie next year. :mischief That said, I'd only like either Olsen or Johnson in the rotation, not both...unless of course the other option is some old and busted guy.
September 26, 200521 yr Am I the only one who feels that Olsen isn't physically mature enough to handle the rigors of a full big league season?
