The lines during the pre-season were: Olesz-Nieuwendyk-Jokinen Roberts-Weiss-Horton Gelinas-Stumpel-Huselius Hagman-Gratton-Kolnik Hill-Bouwmeester Van Ryn-Mezei Cairns-Kwiatowski/Karpovtsev ----- Olesz isn't ready to be a first liner, but Jacques probably just had him playing there to really evaluate him, I think it's almost certain that Horton will be on the first line regardless.

The Senators are not better on paper and the Canadiens aren't either. The Bruins paper is filled with older, inury prone guys. Best team on paper is the Flyers, followed by the Lightning, and Devils. Panthers are probably 6-7th best on paper. How is Ottawa not better on paper? One word... Goaltending. is Horton gonna play this year? Yup, he is on the second line with Roberts and Weiss. October 5, 200520 yr Im not a huge fan of hockey and i dont know many players but i would love to go to some games. i will watch hockey every once in awhile but im always playing the video games. im gonna watch the season opener for sure and umm hopefully i can find someone to take me to a game and cheer on the panthers some time.

Unless the Dominator is back to his former self, no way the Sens win the East. Not to mention the fact, Bryan Murray is the coach now. And he was an absolutely horrendous coach down here.

October 6, 200520 yr Congrats to the boys for a big opening night win and i agree Luongo is a bad ass....great to see the kids do some of the scoring as Horton got the game winner (I believe) Nice effort now time to show the Ligtning what they can do with their 2-year old Stanley Cup Go PANTHERS!! On a side note reading the AP story...the panthers made a trade with ottawa The Panthers traded D Filip Novak to Ottawa on Wednesday for a conditional sixth-round draft pick in 2007.
October 6, 200520 yr good win for the panthers to start off the season. roberto luongo is just wow. i believe his 24th shutout of his career? great job guys i will probably be watching on friday.
October 6, 200520 yr Just got back from the Office Depot, err... National Car Rental Cent, uh... Bank of America Center or whatever. Awesome first win, the team played well, Luongo was a brick wall as usual, Hagman was flying all over the place, new guys looked pretty comfortable, power play looked solid, all around great win against a very formidable offensive team. Luongo finally has a TEAM in front of him this season. Should be very exciting. Pantherrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs GOOOOOOOOOAL!! :thumbup
