Most local sport writer were present, including some from the herald, telemundo and so forth. I know most of them because I've been a boxing writer for a while now and coincide with them in this events. We were talking about the Marlins season and they were telling me about the hatred most players felt for McKeon, the things they said off the record were shocking. from Castillo and Gonzalez blaming McKeon for their injuries, saying he played them hurt and now they need to have surgery. To Encarnaci?n saying he felt like breaking a bat on the old man's head. Cabrera was not suspended for being late. He was susponded for doing so repeatedly, and then coming in bragging about his ability, telling his fellow teammates not to panick, that he was finally there. Lenny Harris alledgely grab him by the neck once for disespecting veterans and Villone challenged him to a fist fight. All in all, it doesn't sound pretty. That's what McKeon had to deal with, a bunch of cry babies. Millionaire athletes that have no respect for the sport.

You know what they say, the story gets more and more juicy every time that it's told. Mabye they got into a very heated argument, but LENNY HARRIS actually choking Cabs? I don't know...

We weren't there so we don't know what the players put up with from him. AND neither do the alleged reporters.
October 7, 200520 yr I said something to the effect of the players stopped playing for McKeon a week or so ago and got hammered and told I don't know what I'm talking about. I was just calling it like it is, it looked like they quit on him. Anyways this kind of makes sense to me. I thought Louie played half the season hurt not just the last month, so if he did say that I don't blame him. As far as Cabrera being cocky, he's been like that since he came up in 2003, along with Beckett who used to say some really cocky things in interviews. He seems to have matured though.
