An unappreciative bunch

guys, cabrera was banging one of the mermaids.

Not cool

There are more than a few mermaids I'd like to bang. In fact, I always try to talk to one of them during the games if I can. It never works, but I still try. :D

you and every male in the stadium tries to hit on the mermaids

Does anyone not expect a clubhouse to fight a few times a year? After all they are grown men who have to spend most of the day together for 6 months. There will be tensions between teammates. Look at your own home, how many times a year do you fight with your parents or siblings? For those that are married how many times a year do you fight with your spouse? I guarantee this sh*t went on in 2003. In this case it came out and is amplified more because of how this team disappointed a lot of us.

For the record I believe orisha is a credible source. He has been on the site for a while now and has made very intelligent posts in the past. It's not like the supposed New York groupie that registered the same day and had no record on the site and started posting miscellaneous stuff.

If Lenny had choked Miggy and Villone challenged Miggy to a duel we would have heard about it. We heard about Lenny's profanity laced rant in June...

And don't tell me when Lenny choked Miggy he was like, "guys, this choking is off the record." :plain

First off, YOU are making up sh!t by saying Lenny CHOKED Cabrera. Orisha stated that Lenny grabbed Cabrera by the neck. There IS a difference between choking someone and grabbing them by the neck. He probably grabbed him by the neck with one hand and told him something not CHOKED him Latrell Spreewell style...

Second, these stories don't sound far-fetched. Theres already been a few reports about how Cabrera thinks he is the motherf*cking sh!t and he is, like it or not, a big problem. The players not liking Jack doesn't surprise me at all, what does surprise me is that Guillermo Mota hasn't said anything about Jack. Mckeon yelled at him one game on the mound like he was a f*cking rookie, that ain't right.

Third, I'm glad Villone stood up to Cabrera because that kid seriously needs to come back down to earth. This would make Villone one of my favorite players except for the fact that he totally SUCKS. I'm also glad Mckeon is gone, he lost half the clubhouse by mid-season. Sorry, but when half of your team doesn't like you, and your team is underachieving, you really have to go...

"Hola, Se?or y Se?ora Cabrera.

No, Se?ora Cabrera....and her chancletas...to the rescue!

:mischief

Miggy's mom is coming to beat Miggy's ass with a pair of sandals.

It's a Spanish mom thing.

Wooden spoon > chancleta

We should have a poll...

Should Miggy's mom beat Miggy's ass with a wooden spoon or a chancleta?

That or what the next hurricane will be named.

My mom uses both.

She uses her chancletas more because she always has them on.

Can Lenny even reach Miguel's neck? :lol

This is all a bunch of hogwash. The team will come out fighting next year.

I've been reading this board for a long time and that is one of the funniest things I have ever read. I remember seeing a picture of Miguel's mother in the Herald and she is a very strong looking woman. The visual of her chasing Miguelito with a rubber flip-flop (for those unfamiliar with the word "chancleta") will stay with me for a while.

Personally, I don't know why anyone would find the original post shocking. There have been more than just hints of a dysfunctional clubhouse this year in the papers, on the radio, etc. After reading the story in the Herald that included a description of Miguel's strutting in the clubhouse, I wasn't too surprised by the benching and stories that came out later. I love having Cabrera on this team as much as anyone but perhaps the "chancletaso" was in order a long time ago. It would be nice if someone he admires, like an Albert Pujols, could teach him a thing or two about how to conduct himself and respect the game. He's very young and it's all happened very fast for him. If he's smart, he'll learn. As for the cheating...MLB is full of guys who married way too young and constantly cheat. Not exactly a secret.

I miss the 2003 happy chemistry days! Yes, I'm sure everything wasn't perfect then either but you could feel the geniune camaraderie in that group.

I think it is time to send in the real Felo Ramirez to fix these chemistry problems. Hire Gonzalez to manage and get this show on the road.

The attitude of this years team was very dissapointing but you can blame Jack also. When your hurt your not suppose to be playing at all, your suppose to let it heal and Mckeon put them in. There might be another story to it though, maybe they told Jack everything was fine and just making stupid comments to the press. Jack and the rest of the team was very weak this season, i just cant believe this.
