January 19, 200620 yr MVP 06 MVP 06 came out yesterday. This year it features college baseball because MLB signed an exclusive deal with the 2k people Ill rent it soon to see if I want to buy, its at a pretty reasonable price (29.99). But odds are, I'll just update my MVP 05 rosters and stick with that
January 20, 200620 yr I bought it about an hour ago, but I haven't played it yet. I am looking forward to being able to play a baseball game at this level. Recruiting is so much more fun that signing free agents.
January 20, 200620 yr It's funny....I just got X-Box Live and played MVP 2005 and they sent me the roster patch and our lineup is god awful......ratings-wise.
January 20, 200620 yr Pretty cool, NCAA... I want to rent it but DAMN has renting a game gone up at blockbuster.. Its cost like 7 or 8 bucks... I would like to rent it.. When does the Pro games come out?
January 20, 200620 yr I'm dying to play MVP 06 but unfortunately it's not yet backwards compatible on the 360.
January 20, 200620 yr I just went to buy it, but my bush-league town's Target didn't have it. Fortunately I got 48 cans of coke for $11, so it wasn't a total waste of a trip
January 20, 200620 yr If my neighbor has PS2 online.... I could essentially give him my memory card and he could save the latest rosters for me? I then can just use the rosters on my game.... is that correct?
January 20, 200620 yr Where do you go to get the MVP 05 patches? They do have some official patches at EASports.com, but there are user-created rosters being made at MVPMods.com which feature both major and minor leaguers. There's also an effort underway to freshen up the game for the 2006 season. It will include new rosters, more accurate stadiums, team name/logo changes, etc... right now it's only for the PC version but I think there are some who are going to try to convert most of it to XBOX and maybe PS2.
January 20, 200620 yr I'm dying to play MVP 06 but unfortunately it's not yet backwards compatible on the 360. So the game doesn't work on 360? Damnit. Anybody have any idea how MLB 2K6 is going to be?
January 20, 200620 yr bought it yesterday and the game is awesome...... i was so happy to see that they put so many teams in it and the real stadiums.....
January 20, 200620 yr mvp 05 isnt compatible with 360 yet either right? because i got a 70" hdtv for my 360 and when i plug my xbox into it, it looks like sh*t i dno why and im using the hd cables too. jw if i can play my beloved mvp 05 on my new baby lol. Thanks.
January 20, 200620 yr was gonna buy it but bought dagonquest 8 instead. I flipped a coin. I will keep my 05
January 20, 200620 yr Did anyone buy either of the college basketball games out there? Which is better 2k6 or March Madness?
January 20, 200620 yr Did anyone buy either of the college basketball games out there? Which is better 2k6 or March Madness? 2k6 is 10000000000324720938420002342037400002387428300.99999999999 times better and i bought this game yesterday (MVP 06) and it is really cool im really liking the espn integration with ESPN radio updates every 20 minutes while you are in the menus, and constant ticker while playing games with real time scores
January 20, 200620 yr I'm playing it right now for XBOX. :o It's really really really good. If you slightly like college ball, or just want to hear the *ping* it's the best $30 you'll ever spend.

January 21, 200620 yr this really sucks ive been waiting for this game for like ever and ive had for now 2 days and im starting to get bored. i mean the recruiting is ok and the game is awesome i just cant hit. i can pitch real good but it gets boring winning 1-0 or losing 1-0. Ive been like 5 teams already and uh im having a hard time here...maybe i should let the game rest for awhile!

I bet the hitting problem is the same as the revenue problems everyone was complaining about last year, wait a few days and you'll get your touch back and the game will begin to balance itself out.....hopefully.
January 21, 200620 yr im not used to this...im good at video games! is my reign of whooping everyone over??
January 21, 200620 yr The hit stick mode is super realistic, just too tough sometimes, but that's what makes it fun. I hate the analog fielding though, I just switched that back to the classic mode.
January 21, 200620 yr im not used to this...im good at video games! is my reign of whooping everyone over?? try the hitting mini game to help your timing and such.. or if not put the game on varsity difficulty to gain confidence, before moving up the difficulty if all else fails just change back to the classic batting style.. im loving it so far.. i moved it up to AA difficulty now after I hit 7 HRs in one game against Northern Iowa
January 21, 200620 yr I didn't even try the new hitting system. I went classic throwing and hitting right away. Gameplay was awesome last year, didn't need to be improved. This game is great. The one thing that could upset some people is the rosters are last season's, but I don't know enough about college baseball to care.

I don't care about rosters, and if I can use the controls from last year - which were flawless - I'm in good shape.
