January 20, 200620 yr Author What's with the Yankee and the old lady? Well, the old lady is obvious. It's a general Florida stereotype. However, the Yankee looks to me like one of the teams picking through our bargain bin, that's all.
January 20, 200620 yr What's with the Yankee and the old lady? Not sure about the Yankees, but I'm guessing the old lady is supposed to represent a garage sale.. You know how old people love those things....

January 21, 200620 yr Author I cant believe they spend the time to get that picture made considering how nobody cares about us outside of of SoFla Because it's not exactly common these days for teams to have fire sales. Before 1997/1998's first firesale, the last one in MLB was in the early 1970's with the A's, when Charlie O. Finley wanted to sell most of his players to cut salaries. Then you have to go back to 1935, to the last fire sale, which was the Philadelphia A's. I mean, we've done it twice in 8 years, while the A's did it two times in the last 70 years.
