Is this the first time our expansion parter was higher than us aside from 1993?

New manager Joe Girardi has said none of his Marlins players will be allowed to have any facial hair. What's next ... bedtime at 9 p.m.?

:lol :lol :lol :lol

WHY CAN'T YOU TURN YOUR CAPS OFF?

he's on the quest for vagina

ANYhoo. its just the media hating on the marlins all over again.

We'll be better in September than we will in April. I don't think you can ask for much more...

agreed. although i dont' think this team will get anywhere near 75-80 wins they will be fun to watch, nothing like a bunch of spoiled old veterans that don't run out ground balls.

Guess it's only funny to them when it's not the beloved Yankees. :confused

Now that's a real slap in the face....lower than the Rockies....and Royals.

I'll bet we won't end up on the bottom.

I don't understand why it's a slap in the face... I don't believe any of us think that's where we will finish, but it's certainly where we deserve to start.

WE WILL BE THE WORST TEAM IN MLB... WHY CAN'T YOU PEOPLE ACCEPT THIS????

I think we'll be more competitive than some of the other bottom feeders like the Royals, Rockies, etc. however the NL East is pretty strong this year so who knows.

We may be young, but we have quite a bit of talent. Putting us last is more of an attempt to make a statement about the firesale than an objective view of where we fit in, IMO.

2006 Marlins = 2003 Heat

They couldn't even say anything about the team, just poked fun at our new manager....

I'll be happy when they eat crow and start to have to move us up the board.

We have more problem areas than anybody else in the league. We have more rookies than anybody it the league. I doubt that we win 55 games. :banghead

I am willing to wager you that we win more than 55 games. :mischief

I think the reason we are ranked so low is because where as other teams are for the most part stocked with returning major league players, the Marlins are all "potential". There's no baseline to draw with this team right now. If we get off to any kind of decent start (.500 ball in our first twenty games for example) we'll shoot up the list quickly.

Playing in arguably the toughest division in baseball right now isn't going to help. When you consider the unbalanced schedule, we could be better than the Rockies from an objective standpoint but have a worse record purely because of our respective division opponents.

This year will tell the owner everything he needs to know about high priced talent and its connection to fannys in the seats. If it is not worth it to pay big bucks and your ego can be put aside, you can operate pretty cheaply. Maybe even make money.

The Blake Street Bombers were probably ranked ahead of us a few times.
