March 20, 200620 yr http://www.fiascobowl.org/ Modeled after onepeat.com (made to mock USC's dynasty as unworthy), some Miami fan(s) have created fiascobowl.org to raise money for a billboard to criticize tOSU's 2002 National Championship. While I found onepeat to be somewhat creative, this website is anything but. I'm a Miami diehard who finds this (and all similar whining about referees) retarted, juvenile, pointless, and overall an embarrasment to the rest of the Miami fan base. However I know some people on this board feel strongly about this game and would probably want to check out this website.
March 20, 200620 yr When will they get over it? the gross incompetence and malfeasance that resulted in the inexcusable damage to Miami?s dynasty should have been cemented for all time for all to see: instead, the one shot wonder that is Carson Palmer took home the Heisman Trophy. Holy sh*t, that statement just oozes cockiness and as if it is Miami's birthright to have a dynasty.
March 20, 200620 yr thats f***ing retarded, im one of those people who feel strongly about that call and i still feel sick to my stomach every time i see that highlight but for the love of God just leave it alone already. stop bringing that sh*t up, it happened. nothing you can do about it and yeah some calls went our way that led to the OT. leave it alone already damn.
March 20, 200620 yr great timing for the site Pretty much everyone understood that Ohio State had little chance of winning the BCS championship game, and that was no slight against the Buckeyes though i cannot stand tOSU or Tressel, that statement couldnt be more off base. they went out there, played a great game, and led the majority game and took the defending champs to OT. it was a sh*tty call on fourth down...but thats just part of the game. bad calls happen all the time and just 1 doesnt decide a game. besides, what does this site do except make UM fans look childish, and what can be done about this now?

March 20, 200620 yr For someone that says UM fans have too much time on their hands it must have taken you a while to find this, no offense. And yes this is getting pretty old.
March 20, 200620 yr Author For someone that says UM fans have too much time on their hands it must have taken you a while to find this, no offense. Not at all. Deadspin linked to it on their front page. Nice try though. In fact another site they linked to (criticizing fiascobowl) provided this gem of a picture. file:///C:/DOCUME~1/Nick/LOCALS~1/Temp/moz-screenshot.jpgfile:///C:/DOCUME~1/Nick/LOCALS~1/Temp/moz-screenshot-1.jpg
March 20, 200620 yr While I'm sure most Canes fans will agree that that call sucked, I think they will also agree that this website is stupid. I think most of us are pretty much over it. Fact is, Miami couldn't punch the ball in on two plays from the two yard line later in that overtime, and they put themselves in a position where they had to make a frantic comeback to even reach overtime. So, all that talk on that website about how glorious the UM team was and all that...well, they weren't that glorious.
March 20, 200620 yr Didn't read the whole thing, but this is a gem: while Miami continued to awe the world of college football with its unprecedented dominance both on and off the field, producing first round NFL draft picks and first class citizens, Ohio State answered the problems of obsolescence, irrelevancy and corruption that had plagued its program for decades and made it the routine target of NCAA probes, by hiring? I'm a Miami fan but damn...
March 20, 200620 yr Author While I'm sure most Canes fans will agree that that call sucked, I think they will also agree that this website is stupid. I think most of us are pretty much over it. That's exactly the way I feel about it. The call might have sucked, but there were a bunch of other questionable calls in the game that went against both teams, and Miami had numerous chances to win even after the pass interference call. Bitching about the refs is extremely lame.

I am a fan of both Miami and Duke football and basketball. I'm pretty sure I have the record for most Duke-related football posts on this board. And I talk plenty about Miami basketball. And, for what it's worth, I'm also a student at the University of Miami these days, so I'm pretty much covered on all sides on this one.

I'm a Miami fan but damn... Decades! Yeah, right. Every major program is guilty of this stuff. Like this crap didn't plague Miami all through the 90's? It's interesting, because Maurice and one rogue booster aside, we were cleared of our NCAA investigation, too. Wonder what that guy is talking about?

Most of the time, people who do that are bandwagoners unless they have a solid reason which he obviously does, no calling out, just curious.
March 20, 200620 yr It was one of the worst calls ever made, but at the same time nothing can be done for it. no need to complain over it, miami fans know whom really won that game. But if they wanna make a website they should make a bringbackbutch.com better use for the future instead of just the past

March 20, 200620 yr Here is that great Miami education :lol Way to dis-prove your argument. That isn't pass interference? DA U!

Characterized by hypocrisy: hypocritical praise. Being a hypocrite: a hypocritical rogue. That website pwnz. I added it to my favorites.
March 21, 200620 yr no need to complain over it, miami fans know whom really won that game. Yes. Miami fans, along with everyone else know who truly won that game... The Buckeyes!!! :lol :thumbup That being said, it's been four years. Get over it. I mean, I still like celebrating it, but nearly as much as some (the minority) Miami fans love to bitch about it.
March 21, 200620 yr maybe the impression i'm getting is skewed by the fact that we only have two OSU fans on this board, but it almost sounds like OSU fans are more hung up on that call than UM fans are.

How so? We won. There were numerous bad calls that game against both teams. You move on. And there's THREE tOSU fans. Myself, Hugg and Passion.

March 21, 200620 yr maybe the impression i'm getting is skewed by the fact that we only have two OSU fans on this board, but it almost sounds like OSU fans are more hung up on that call than UM fans are. How so? because thats the only thing Ohio football has done Pro and College Ohio State has numerous National Titles. Don't act like that's the only game they've ever won on that big of a stage. Every season we're in hunt for a National Title. Sometimes it goes our way and we come closer than others. As for the pros, that's irrelevant to issue. Has nothing to do with that game or our fans being "bitter." On Saturdays, during college football season, Ohio State is the only pro game in town and the only thing on the mind of any true Buckeyes fan. Miami will get their chance for "revenge" again in a couple of year when we play them anyways (something like 2010).
