Hmmmmm, well maybe -- his decision making so far has left ya wondering. I always thought it was a given that when Joe Torre gave it up (probably after next season) Jo-Jo would be the natural replacement. But so far his skills as a manager may leave Steinbrenner questioning his viability as a mgr.

After tonite it's obvious that its definately DEAD. Included in that 6,017 were some rats, mice and the cockroaches living in Dolphin Stadium.
May 2, 200620 yr Like I said earlier...only way he leaves is if he resigns and I doubt he wants his first ever major league managerial experience to be a miserable failure because if it is, he never gets hired again. He will be get his fair shot and that includes a somewhat decent roster(which he will get next year) so I say he will have two years to right the ship.

They will eventually get so tired of losing due to stupid mistakes that they'll come around. I don't see these young guys quitting on the season. If anything it will steel them for the future. It'll happen, just who knows when?
May 2, 200620 yr i can't see a guy getting fired no matter how badly this team does, given expectations going in. there would have to be an actual clubhouse revolt for that to happen IMO.

It'll happen, just who knows when? Man 4 or 5 days ago I had that kind of enthusiasm for the future too, but after this past weekend, I have lost all hope. I can see us challengeing that 42-120 season of the Mets in 1962
