Posted May 3, 200618 yr Good news and bad news out of the Marlins in regards to young Josh Willingham. The good news is that manager Joe Girardi has essentially said he wants his left fielder to play 160 games, the bad news is that it means they probably don't give him any time at catcher, whatsoever. So, of course, one is left to wonder if that increases the chances that Dan Uggla sneaks in behind the plate for a few games. Girardi had floated that possibility in spring traning, and it certainly sounds like a better option than having Mark Treanor start sixty games for your team. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/fant...swat.box/2.html Yes it is a fantasy column, but all I have to say is WTF? When did Girardi ever float that idea? Did I miss something, or is this guy just retarded?
May 3, 200618 yr It can't possibly get any worse. I'd love to see Uggla at C just for pure entertainment factor.
May 3, 200618 yr While we're at it, I'd like to see Eric Reed take some time at catcher (sans catching equipment).

May 3, 200618 yr why not put Herges as catcher? he can't pitch for sh*t, so catching might just be his best role
May 4, 200618 yr It's possible that he's retarded. :lol I see Joe Girardi slowly but surely losing the respect of his fan base, this isn't New York, but this can't be good anywhere.
May 4, 200618 yr Who is Mark Treanor? . Come on Holly, we ALL know who he's talking about. :mischief :mischief :mischief :mischief :mischief
