Good news and bad news out of the Marlins in regards to young Josh Willingham. The good news is that manager Joe Girardi has essentially said he wants his left fielder to play 160 games, the bad news is that it means they probably don't give him any time at catcher, whatsoever.

So, of course, one is left to wonder if that increases the chances that Dan Uggla sneaks in behind the plate for a few games. Girardi had floated that possibility in spring traning, and it certainly sounds like a better option than having Mark Treanor start sixty games for your team.

Yes it is a fantasy column, but all I have to say is WTF? When did Girardi ever float that idea? Did I miss something, or is this guy just retarded?

lololol

that's absurd

Who is Mark Treanor? .

It's possible that he's retarded.

:lol

It can't possibly get any worse. I'd love to see Uggla at C just for pure entertainment factor.

While we're at it, I'd like to see Eric Reed take some time at catcher (sans catching equipment).

How credible the information is . . . .

lmao thats freaking stupid

why not put Herges as catcher? he can't pitch for sh*t, so catching might just be his best role

Uggla would make one bad-ass catcher, for sure.

well that would give andino 2b for the future so might be worth trying it

I see Joe Girardi slowly but surely losing the respect of his fan base, this isn't New York, but this can't be good anywhere.

Come on Holly, we ALL know who he's talking about. :mischief :mischief :mischief :mischief :mischief
