June 13, 200620 yr Beryl is an older name, my old photographer's name was Beryl, though I'm not positive of its spelling. Here is a little about it: The boy's and girl's name Beryl is pronounced BEHR-el. It is of Greek origin, and its meaning is "pale green gemstone." The word is ultimately of Indian origin. The beryl was considered a token of good luck. Biblical: the eighth foundation stone of the wall of New Jerusalem was made of beryl. The name came into fashion at the end of the 19th century.
June 14, 200620 yr My name has never been used as a hurricane. Last season, when it appeared we may reach W, I was kinda hoping I would get to experience a Hurricane Wilma, since W Hurricanes never happen. In retrospect, that was a stupid idea. So this season, I hope no hurricanes hit Broward and that they all hit Europe like that one tropical storm last year.
