Nielsosky
Did anybody here listen to ESPN Radio's Gameday Postseason prediction? They said the Marlins lose to the Cubs in the second round. Do you really think that if we played the Cubs we would lose? I just have the feeling that Kerry Wood and Mark Prior might not react well to October+Enc & Lee. Guest Juanky
Would we get home field advantage if we faced the Cubs? I think that would be key to determining the outcome of the series.

BroadwayBaby84
bleh. when does ESPN (in general) ever have anything good to say about the marlins. at least they didnt predict for us to lose in the first round.
Guest Juanky
Nope, Cubs would get home field. Boooo. It should be by record. Cubs suck, bring on the Braves.
Marlins2003
The two teams I don't want to face in the playoffs/series are the Cubs and Red Sox.
FishFan24
As strange as it may sound, I want the Red Sox if we get to the series. That way we can stick it to John Henry and let everyone that it was the team he left to rot that beat him and extended the curse!
jonnylons
The 2 teams I want to face - Cubs and Red Sox. I too want to stick it to Henry - that mfer... But also, I am SOOO tired of the Cubs pitching staff. Wood, Prior and Zambrano - their 'big 3'. Cmon, enough. We got a better pitching staff than they do - a more complete team. They have a vastly, underhitting squad and a shaky bullpen. I would love to face them and sweep them and then have the dumb a$$es in the media finally grab a clue and give praise where it is due - with us. g8trz2003
I hope that if we make it to the 2nd round, we play the Braves...that way I have a chance of seeing the Marlins play at the TED.
odom006
i dont even know....... Wood owns us this year as does Zamz, I would rather have the braves in the 2nd round and the Yanks or A's in teh World Series or even twins... I like Marlins2003 am also scared the DeadSox and the Cubs.. face the Facts they both own us..... Hotcorner
I agree Cape, I don't think they'll make it past Atlanta. Should be a good series though.

flasportsfan88
Wild Card doesnt get homefield. who the hell makes up these rules??
Guest Juanky
Wild Card is automatically seed #4. It is the same in other sports except there are more teams so the effect isn't noticeable. But I do believe it should be by record because we managed a better record in a stronger division then the Cubs. But I don't make the rules, I just criticize them. KJC
also on ESPN radio our old friend Ryan Dempster was speaking about Millar doing well and the Fish doing well, but he did make some coments about not understanding why Dontrelle wasnt pitching game 1 or 2... miami15
I'd rather have Dontrelle for gms 3 and 4 as he is probably calmer at home than in his hometown. I miss Dempster!

Wild Card
The Cubs WOULD beat us in the second round IF we faced them. I am, for the first time, being a realist.

Wild Card
a realist admits that the possibility of defeat exists, your pretty much just quitting on the season It would definately be a winnable series, but Jason Schmit obviously made it a fact today that we officially don't hit hard-throwing dominant righties, and the Cubs have four starters that match that description. Wood can also get himself in trouble when he hangs them benders
