The Marlins minor-league lefty is having a career month thus far

Aug. 2: W 5-0 Mississippi: 6.1 IP, 4 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 10 K

Aug. 8: W 5-0 West Tenn.: 7.0 IP, 4 H, 0 ER, 3 BB, 2 K

Aug. 13: W 7-2 Birmingham: 7.1 IP, 7 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 5 K

Totals for the month of August. 20.2 IP, 15 H, 2 ER, 4 BB, 17 K

3-0, 0.87 ERA, 15 H, 4 BB, 17 K, 0.91 WHIP

pretty impressive...will be intresting to see if the Fish give this kid a look in Sept.

he already is on the 40-man

This guy is defiently good....puts up good stats every year and he's a lefty. I'd love to see him as a starter but with Pinto already waiting, he may get a shot in the pen as long relief.

on the heals of his three straight wins...Bostick was promoted to AAA Albuquerque where he will start today (Sunday, Aug. 20) for the Topes....good news for Adam

Congrats

What kind of stuff does he throw ?

He has a smooth delivery that seems to add to the late hop on his fastball, allowing him to miss bats. He pitches at 88-90 mph and tops out at 93 mph, sort of like another lefty with above-average deception, Dontrelle Willis. Bostick needs to trust his offspeed stuff more and not get so fastball-happy, especially when he’s in trouble. He has shown a plus curveball at times but his changeup needs work. Repeating his delivery is another area that requires improvement.

Sounds good, thanks. Love the idea of having another solid lefty in the bullpen.

I would assume Bostick is done. 96 pitches through 5 innings and the Topes' are up 10-3 vs a good Nashville team

His line for the night: 5ip 5h 3r 3er 2bb 9k 96 pitches, 58 for strikes.

Listened to the game tonight and he did well...

Is he a starter or a reliever for the future? He sounds like a future Starter.

Has the ability to be a starter in the bigs, but I doubt he ever starts for the Marlins.

We will see him in Dolphin Stadium in September

Great I cant wait to see what he has in the MLB level I just love this farm system :)
