Johnson's OPS Against is a very good 105 points below the league average.

Ya, because the slugging is low I bet (without looking at stats), because the OBP is probably somewhat high.

And of course JJ's stats are going to beat league averages. He is definitely above average, wouldn't you say?

Because JJ's WHIP is proportionally higher than his ERA, it suggests that he is getting out of a lot of jams, and stranding players on base. Logic says that he won't always be able to get out of those jams as easily as he is this year. It could adversely affect his ERA in the future if the trend continues...or he could defy that logic.

Isolated Power allowed is low (29 points). The reason for his success is not that he escapes jams, but that one has to earn runs against him 90 feet at a time.

wtf is isolated power?

And I did kind of clarify that he 'leaves men on base', which is true.

Isolated power is SLG-BA, so if you are going to get 3 runs on JJ in an inning, it is going to take a bunch of singles.

17 points below the league average OBP. So 88 below in slugging.

4 game sweep against another wild card contender. That is something to talk about.

This is why I love this team. Who knew hard work, determination, and believing in yourself was rewarded in this world?

In other news:

Let's go Dodgers!

This is amazing. I love this team!

The good thing is Cincy has a tough team to face the Dogers with Penny on the mound I'll be watching closely :thumbup

Padres and DBacks also playing. SInce we passed the Dbacks already, I'll root for them.

Ya, at this point you can't look back...so anyone ahead of us needs to lose.
