August 31, 200620 yr Logan Kensing will undergo Tommy John surgery Thursday and miss at least part of next year. Since Kensing is a reliever, it's possible he'll be back by July or August. However, it will take some luck. He finishes 2006 with a 4.54 ERA in 37 2/3 innings. Per rotoworld.com Tough luck for our boy Logan. Hopefully he makes a quick recovery!

First Carlos Martinez now Logan Kensing. Bad news, but not suprising after the report he was going to see Dr. Andrews. Have a speedy recovery Logan.
August 31, 200620 yr Damnit that sucks. Carlos really needs to come on strong next year. I wouldnt expect much, if anything
August 31, 200620 yr That sucks. I can't say I'm surprised something like this happened with the way he throws the ball, but it really sucks.
August 31, 200620 yr Kensing set for surgery: Reliever Logan Kensing was examined by orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala., on Wednesday. After undergoing a series of tests, Kensing is scheduled to have Tommy John elbow surgery on Thursday. Most likely, the rookie right-hander will be out an entire year. But Girardi didn't rule out Kensing pitching some time in 2007. "He had the elbow problem last year," Girardi said. "It's a recurring problem. It's unfortunate for all of us, especially him. It's possible he will pitch for us again next year -- real possible." Kensing went on the disabled list with a right elbow strain on Aug. 8. Used primarily as a setup late-inning reliever, Kensing appeared in 37 games, going 1-3 with a 4.54 ERA. He has been considered a potential closer of the future. Kensing is the second rookie reliever to be lost this season to Tommy John surgery. Carlos Martinez had the operation in early July. http://florida.marlins.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/...sp&c_id=fla
August 31, 200620 yr Although he had a few tough outings, I like the way he throws, his demeanor and how he has progressed since being thrown to the wolves in 2004. Tough luck, both him and Carlos in 2008-back better than ever.
August 31, 200620 yr I hope his surgery goes smoothly today. Maybe him and JJ can do a show from his house :confused .
August 31, 200620 yr Good luck Logan. I will be waiting with a big "Welcome Back" sign your first game after you return. Carlos and Logan back in 2008, Tank, Resop, Messenger with another year under their belts, and Garcia and Delgado probably ready by then...wow, a very nice pen in 2008 shaping up seems to be.
August 31, 200620 yr Lets hope Andrews does a better job on Logan than he did on Spooney Please dont let that happen. I'd be quite po'd if LK turned into another TS. And thats no BS.
