So your saying he "wasnt wrong yet" because he agreed with the NHC at the point of that track? Doesn't make sense to me. The NHC, B4P, whomever thought and tried to suggest it would go into the Gulf was incorrect with that storm at some point (Probably alot of people were). You aren't "right" because you agree with the NHC.

September 5, 200619 yr People have to remember the NHC gets feedback from the NWS offices in the error areas and they jointly decide how fast to move the cone. They may have info, but the cone could not be moved until it appears to be more truth than trend. For #6, it is way too early. Like trying to decide the 2007 World Series winner in December 2005.
September 5, 200619 yr http://www.wunderground.com/tropical/ Still going toward Greenland, doesn't look like it got the stuff to ever becoming a Hurricane at all.
September 5, 200619 yr http://www.wunderground.com/tropical/ Still going toward Greenland, doesn't look like it got the stuff to ever becoming a Hurricane at all. Go learn meteorology before posting again. Please. ktnxbi This storm will be a hurricane, possibly a major. It is not heading towards Greenland, it maybe a threat for the mideast coast north. Florida is probably out of the picture unless this pulls an Andrew.
September 5, 200619 yr YOU.. PEOPLE WHO WANT A STORM FOR DAYS OFF..ARE YOU SERIOUS?? YOU OBVIOUSLY HAVE NEVER BEEN IN A MAJOR STORM OR A SURGE WE HAVE FRIENDS WHOS HOMES ARE STILL UNLIVABLE....WAKE UP
September 6, 200619 yr another storm would be GREAT...more days off for me, i have too much work/school going on I know..I'm praying that we get school closures for a week. not saying that I want the hurricane to hurt people and their possesions though.

Yeah, ok be stupid. Insurance will make life unbearable to live down here. But I am sure you don't care, do you?
September 6, 200619 yr Once I become an agent, I'll find a way to make hurricane insurance a tangible option... Anyway, if the system speeds up, it'll obviously have more of a chance to affect the coast.
September 6, 200619 yr This storm as of right now looks like it's not coming here, then again, its a good 2 weeks away

September 6, 200619 yr YOU.. PEOPLE WHO WANT A STORM FOR DAYS OFF..ARE YOU SERIOUS?? YOU OBVIOUSLY HAVE NEVER BEEN IN A MAJOR STORM OR A SURGE WE HAVE FRIENDS WHOS HOMES ARE STILL UNLIVABLE....WAKE UP I hear 'ya! Apparently it never crosses their minds that they could easily be victims of what they wish for. No, I guess bad things only happen to other people. I guess they weren't around for the devastation of Hurricane Andrew. In my condo we've been hit with an assessment because our insurance went up 138% over last year. This will also make our association fees go up next year and, of course, insurance rates will go up again. Small businesses are closing up and moving away because they can't get insurance. How long before the big Fortune 500 companies decide they don't need to be in S. Fla. because the costs are too high? Like you said, lots of people are still waiting to have their homes repaired. But hey, as long as some people get a few days off it's all good, right?
September 6, 200619 yr All of you do realize that the ones who want it to hit so they miss school are like 15? They wouldnt mind a nuclear holocaust if it closed school. Theres no point trying to reason with them about insurance costs and dealing with the aftermath.

Theres no point trying to reason with them about insurance costs and dealing with the aftermath. I completely realize that. I also remember being a kid and wanting days off from school. However, that never made me wish for something that would cause my parents hardship of any kind or cause pain and suffering to others. I completely see your point but I am of the belief that if you don't explain things to kids how will they learn? After that, what they do with what they hear is out of your control.
