To me it's overexaggerated bullcrap, it's lowest common denominator programming. Everyone's cheating, everyone's on steroids, everyone's on coke, this crap belongs on Fox. With this & that stupid reality fishing show they've got.....wow.

I really like it, watched every episode. Voted great.

i want a D.H. jersey lol

I don't think the show is trying to say that every team is like this. Not every team has a franchise running back who is a drug addict and hangs out with thugs, or a back who is a wife beater, or a standout wide receiver who is gay, or a coach who is suffering with cancer, etc. I think the point of the show is to show what happens behind closed doors. However, to illustrate this they chose to use one team. Now if they wanted to make it more real they could have split these problems up between different teams but that makes it much harder to film as they would need a hell of a lot more actors and it makes it harder to show. This way they can just use one team to show all of the problems that may and do occur in the NFL. That's my IMO though. I don't think they were trying to say that all of this goes on with each team, but that these are problems that teams and players have to deal with in all sports.

I think it's a good show.

Sorry, if I wanted fake football, I would've watched the XFL.

i guess it also bothers me that when I turn on ESPN i don't want to see a soap opera....or a reality show.

but that's my problem.

I refuse to watch it. Non-sports or sport-info programming has no place on ESPN. I'm not going to support the channel in its attempt to pull an MTV. They can put that B.S. on an ESPN Dramas channel, but not on ESPN or ESPN2. Screw that!

They're even trying to start a morning talk show (like Today, CBS This Morning, etc.) on ESPN2 now. WTF?

FishFry, thank you for putting it better than I did. That's exactly it right there, ESPN's trying to pull an MTV.

I've seen part of the show, but i'm not really into it,now if it was a baseball show i wouldn't miss an episode!

Playmakers is awesome....

DH is classic

It's not that great, but it's so exciting that you just can't stop watching.

Excellent show with some great issues mixed in.

I never got around to seeing it :(

Great show, I watch it every week. DH is definitely "classic" as Ramp said, and it may have the funniest and best line in the history of television. "Are you a fairy?" :lol

DH is truly awesome

i remember watching Omar Gooding on Smart Guy

he was a but chunky back then

Smart Guy was such a great show in it's day, of course I was barely a teenager if that old when it was around.

I enjoy playmakers. Watch it every tuesday. i know its not realistic but i still like it. :cool

after watching playmakers, it really makes me think about all the things our heroes do when nobody is watching.

but i know what makes it realistic-its a ripoff of so many football stories. its ok to take a situation and roll with it, but this is out of control.

shall i list the ripoffs? yes::::

-the qb says he is heterosexual and dates women (ripoff of mike piazza)

-they play against a qb who can run a 4.5 4o (a la mike vick)

-the lb olcyk is depressed (barret robbins)

-dh does drogas (so many athletes)

-leon beat his wife and cheated on her (so many athletes)

the list goes on and on....

it would bee gr8 if it was original, but it isn't. it is a complete ripoff of all the retarded things athletes have done. in short, playmakers sucks a**

I like the show, obviously it has to be overdramatic otherwise there would be nothing interesting about it.

i like how its overdramatic, but ive heard it all before. thats the problem. the show is nothing short of plagiarism

This whole thing is racist, I think it was Big O who said that ESPN just ruined their image with this and that it doesn't correctly portray the athletes instead it shows the African Americans as people who drop by the crackhouse before the game and commit a felony every two seconds.

please

anyway, solid episode tonight

if it was sooo racist how come they didnt have DH or Leon impregnate a woman during a one night stand?

This show is decent, but real football players aren't getting into trouble every five minutes.

if it was sooo racist how come they didnt have DH or Leon impregnate a woman during a one night stand? Why is it always the blackman at the crackhouse or involved in crime like last episode (which my brother forced me to watch)

Not racist eh? Its never the white guy always the black guy who is charged for crime

I remember Omar Gooding (DH) when he was 15 in Wild and Crazy Kids on Nickelodeon.

LOL hes my new Role Model
