June 6, 200719 yr He's put up some sick numbers the last 2 years in minor league ball, and I'd really like to see what he's got. 11.55 k/9 is impressive as hell, but his WHIP is a bit high to support such a low ERA. Whats your take on him Ramp? Any stuff on the maverickball site I should read on him?

June 6, 200719 yr Author Talk about the perfect showcasing of a guy... 6 IP, 1 H. Not too shabby I certainly hope we didn't showcase him.
June 6, 200719 yr Talk about the perfect showcasing of a guy... 6 IP, 1 H. Not too shabby That'll get you tar and feathered around here...believe me, I know.
June 6, 200719 yr Well according to many here, we showcased him at the end of March in Ft Lauderdale, again when we called him up for 4 appearances in April and now again? I still don't believe thats why hes been the guy we turn to and I hope that hasnt been the reason, but I could be wrong and we will find out.
June 7, 200719 yr Ive been really excited to see this kid. him and Delgado were big reasons why we gave up Mota, Lowell and Beckett. After Delgado got switched to a starter i really hope Garcia pans out as a reliever.
June 7, 200719 yr This happens after Fredi says, "I think we'll keep him [RVH]." Yea. Dosen't make much sense. They even have plans of using him if Mitre isn't quite ready for his next start. We will have to wait and see if Ramp got this one right.
June 7, 200719 yr Sun-Sentinel says RVH stays up and Harvey Garcia, apparently, will be going to AAA.

June 7, 200719 yr Ober going to the pen? edit: oh wow I went to look at probable pitchers, and saw that Sonnanstine is pitching the last game. Not really related to the topic, but about time he got called up. I don't know what's with the Devil Rays and keeping all of their talented players in the minors.
June 7, 200719 yr If Vanden Hurk is here to stay, then who goes down when JJ is ready? Dontrelle, Vanden Hurk, Mitre, Olsen and Kim. I think right now it has to be Scott Olsen. These things usually have a way of working themselves out(trades, injuries, etc) but I really want to see Olsen work things out in Carolina. Let him develop that change up and work on his control.
June 7, 200719 yr Maybe RVH should take Olsen's spot after Johnson comes up. Olsen's looked like Sh!t.

June 8, 200719 yr RVH stil needs to develop some consistancy. Olsen is here to stay. It'll be Olsen, Mitre, Johnson, Willis, Kim If Kim doesn't implose in his next few starts untill JJ gets back...
