June 27, 200719 yr The team does not suck, you just cant have an allstar in every position. The problem with these "kids" is that there not working together. They all go up trying to do it by themselves, swing for the fences, which cause them to strike out. They all need to get their heads out of their asses and start playing baseball instead of a home run derby. And as for Freddy i dont know where the f*** is his head but its time for him to have a close meeting and just start yelling at these kids. there 36-41 record is the reason why no one attends their games. South florida is a busy place and no one wants to waste 3 hours of their life to watch a team loose, its just not going to happen.

You should almost never give up an out to move a runner up unless you have a pitcher at bat. This is a team that hits lots of home runs. Who should start sacrificing? Cabrera? Uggla? Hanley?

The Marlins as a team have struck out 635 times. That is a lack of discipline. All these kids are just thinking long ball. They are better off bunting a runner into scoring position than striking out. I could care less if there hitting 10 homeruns in a row after the game is already 10-1. This team has shown not to be clutch at all.

I personally think the Mets will be 20 games better than the Marlins by the end of the season.
June 27, 200719 yr I think there were only 3 hard-hit balls tonight: Uggla's HR, Cabs' sacrifice fly & Hanley's fly-ball out. It's frustrating to watch this offense, but it shouldn't really be a surprise. Just take a look at the bottom of the order.

I thought the first run was the definition of manufactured- Carroll singles, moves up on a fly ball, scores on a sac fly. But we should be doing it more often.
June 27, 200719 yr It's a shame to see such a solid pitching effort by Dontrelle wasted with a lack of run support. Hopefully he can keep pitching well in the future though as it's been a rough year so far.

June 27, 200719 yr Got soked at the game tonight for nothing. Hermida was getting ahead in the count beautifully, but I think hes trying to hard ahead of the count, he almost becomes a free swinger later in the count when hes ahead.
