July 21, 200719 yr I know the Dodgers have it. Dont you think that all you can eat seats would improve our attendence? Why wont other teams do it?
July 21, 200719 yr nope , i think a stadium with a roof and an owner who could afford to keep our good young players would increase our attendance anything short of that is a gimmick that would only marginally increase attendance

July 21, 200719 yr Well, ignoring the fact that we don't own the stadium or control the concessions, the simple logistics of places like Dodger stadium doing it in the bleachers (which is an entirely removed entity from the stadium featuring separate gates) means we can't do it in a stadium with 360 access. Plus, we don't need a new stadium to boost attendance, or gimmicks, we need a consistent commitment to stability and winning.

I watched some of the Baltimore and Oakland game last night and one of the ads on the O's broadcast stated they were doing all you can eat left field seats, so other teams are starting to copy the Dodgers.

July 21, 200719 yr Author Maybe just trying it for a few games to see if we can get more people in there. The people who go to the games because of comittment to winning are Marlins fans, but regular joes, they care about other things so it could attract them.

Its the fact that its not a good baseball enviroment. It is not a enjoyable time when you go to a game for most people. The only thing people seem to get into is the waive and how much fun is that after 2 minutes?.
July 21, 200719 yr The baseball experience at Dolphin staduim is like a bad Drag Show , there is a lot of long hair lipstick and shortskirts but that is as close as it ever gonna get
July 21, 200719 yr I've often wondered how full the stadium would get even if Marlins tickets were free.
July 21, 200719 yr the braves have recently started offering seats that were approximately $35 to be sold for about $60 with all you can eat and all you can drink. the all you can eat is fine, but the all you can drink, while sweet to poor grad students like myself, is probably a bad idea unless you have ample public transportation around (and even then it's still not the most responsible thing to do)

I would be all over that in a second. $60 is a steal. Everybody would win. Its impossible to drink $60 worth of beer (they probably get the beer at 25-50 cents a bottle). And if you drink 5-6 beers anyways, you make out like a bandit. Didnt the lightning try or do something like this? If you bought season tickets you got free beer?
