This is painful (game thoughts)

well i guess the 7 two out runs that we gave up cost us the game and i think pinto was really overworked the last few games. offense was good but this is just bad man and idk where we go from here.

P.S. Request permission to be allowed back on game threads...cmonnnn i love u guyssssssssssss :smlove

I guess we keep sucking big time, now against the putrid Giants...unbelievable!

This is the kind of year when the good teams make their run, and the bad ones fall backwards.

I'm not exactly getting the feeling that we are the former anymore.

At least last season we did this at the beginning of the year, as opposed to when it counts.

Once again, I find myself asking......"how did we lose this game?"

You can't give up 12 runs and expect to win a game. Period.

Yeah, you can't bitch about losing a game when you allowed 12 runs to score.

But my thoughts:

Amezaga just killed us tonight.

Bullpen wasn't sharp, alarming that Pinto was allowed to go as far as he was.

I want to have Hanley's baby.

Well, It just hurts...And I don't know if it's because I hate myself or something, but I'll still be back tomorrow to watch the circus which is 755-756.

What happened with Amezaga tonight? I missed the 3rd-7th innings.

Came in as a replacement for Ross and just kicked it around in centerfield.

I'm talking being up (relatively) comfortably AGAIN, 6-2, and then screwing it up. I just don't understand how we keep giving up these leads. Poor pitching I guess, and defense didn't help. Vanden Hurk had an inning tonight like Owings did the other night, where he just lost it.

Could be worse

Agreed. Gotta hope that we can only go up from here. We're fortunate the Mets have lost two in a row, but I'm not sure if 10 games can be gained. If people still say the Yankees are in it, then I'll say the Fish are too.

Defense had nothing to do with what Vanden Hurk did. He single handedly threw that lead away. Not like it would have mattered anyways. Pinto was terrible as well.

not much worse.... it is disgusting how many reasons we could come up with as to why we shoudlve won this game

Every single game in every single season, the losing team can say the same thing.

Could have been 12-0 with Barry Bonds having a 3HR night.

Some losses suck more than others though. This one really sucked.

I blame Jorge Julio.

I wasn't saying defense had anything to do with what Vandy did....we were still in the game then, hell, we were up 7-6 even after his last inning. The inning Pinto came in and we needed to keep the lead (or at least keep it close), that's when the defense cost us.
