South Florida has a lot of Yankees fans mainly because South Florida is home to many transplanted New Yorkers. Before the Marlins were born, weren't the Yankees South Florida's favorite team? The Yankees used to train at Fort Lauderdale Stadium before they moved to Tampa. The reason I bring this up is because I wonder how many people at Pro Player Stadium, particularly South Floridians, will be rooting for the Yankees. Hopefully, the Marlins fans will be able to drown them all out like they did the Cubs fans.

I hope it isn't 40%. Since the games were sold out before the Yankees series was over i'm hoping many Yankee fans didn't get a chance to buy tickets.

There will be more than during the Cubs series that's for sure. I say the crowd will be 60-40 Marlins.

It's really hard to say... The most rediculous display of the Yankees taking over a stadium is when the Yanks play Baltimore. I guarentee you that at any given game, Yankee fans outnumber Oriole fans 3-1...

60/40 Marlins is pretty safe guess...I've attended a couple of Interleague games with the Yankees, and that seemed to be the mix....

Yeah but the Marlins weren't in the World Series when the Yanks were down here for Interleague play.

I'd love to see 70/30 at the worst. I'm being hopeful that the Yankees fans didn't buy too many as they weren't in the series yet. Optimistic? Yes. But I would LOVE for "our house" to be just THAT.

i think that its gonna be 90/10 even though there are alot of yankee fans flying down to see the game the tics are very hard to find-even if ur willing to get ripped off badly its still hard to get tics.

yea, those cubs fans were crazy, this is old news for yanks fans not many peepz are gona be flying down, and tix sold out be4 the end of game seven of the red sox series, it might of seemed like there were alot of cubs fan but there werent that much about 15-20 percent. i dont think theres gona be that many yank fans.

I say about 10%. Most South Florida Yankee fans are the elderly, and not to be mean, but I don't think they will be out there for the 8:30 start time.

From what we have seen on TV, it doesn't seem that bad. I guess it is b/c we won the NL before they won the AL. It's cool. :thumbup

It couldn't have been more than 10% last night. I estimated twice as many Cubs fans last weekend as Yankee fans last night.

There were definitely fewer Yankee fans at JRS last night than there had been Cub fans during the NLCS. I'd say around 10%. In my section out in BFE, the Yankee fans tried to get chants going and they were immediately drowned out by the Marlins fans.

 

The Yankee fans were a lot more fun than the Cubs fans. A lot of the Cubs fans were smug and in-your-face and had a weird sense of entitlement, especially considering they're fans of a team that hasn't won in 100 years. The Yankee fans just kinda bantered playfully but they didn't seem to be out to make anybody feel bad.

I was in section 446 and the Yankee fans were louder than the Marlin fans. To their credit they were very respectable for the most part and didn't rub it in our faces in the 8th and 9th innings. I'd guess the actually makeup of the croud was 65-35, but there wasn't a whole lot to cheer about and the damn rain made the experience of a loss just that much worse. And Mariano Rivera scares me. We need to keep his a** out of games.
