October 13, 200718 yr figure the list has to start sometime rockies have Ryan Spilborghs, Cory Sullivan, and Willy Taveras all who are listed as centerfielders and with their corner outfield spots filled by holliday and hawpe. its not like they need all 3. all have been able to put up decent numbers at the major league level. rockies also have sean barker (has appeared in cf and has put up nice numbers in AAA past 2 years), alexis gomez, chris frey, and jordan czarniecki in the minor leagues between AA and AAA so its not like they need 2 of these guys to backup taveras who is listed as the starting center fielder sorry i just went thru the the rockies organization because i was bored just name any outfielders that you think could be a possibility. i will try and keep a list at the top of the thread. list ryan spilborghs cory sullivan willy taveras reggie willits
October 13, 200718 yr I love Willy T, but I don't think the Rox are going to let him go any times soon. Spillborghs would be nice though.
October 13, 200718 yr We could have had Willy Taveras at less cost, I would like Willets from the Angels over these other guys
October 14, 200718 yr We could have had Willy Taveras at less cost, I would like Willets from the Angels over these other guys Actually, we had him. He was in our minor league system a few years ago.

Not according to Baseball-Reference. May 27, 1999: Signed by the Cleveland Indians as an amateur free agent. December 15, 2003: Drafted by the Houston Astros from the Cleveland Indians in the 2003 rule 5 draft
October 16, 200718 yr Look in Mexico, find Amezaga another buddy. Its easy to find guys that can climb up walls. (oooo burned. lol jp)

I always wanted us to have Jesus Tavarez, Quilvio Veras, and Julian Tavarez on the same time for the chance to hear a Tavarez to Veras Tavarez double play
October 16, 200718 yr All we really need is someone to platoon with Cody Ross unless Willingham is moved out of the outfield.

October 17, 200718 yr I think we should move Hanley to center and let Andino, a potential defensive wise, handle a premium defensive position.
October 17, 200718 yr I think we should move Hanley to center and let Andino, a potential defensive wise, handle a premium defensive position. Andino had 34 errors this year
October 17, 200718 yr He's 23 years old. What a ridiculous statement to make. What has he done? What have we seen from him in his time up? What are the scouts saying about him?
October 17, 200718 yr What I am saying is that he's young enough that we shouldn't say "he's got no future." I'm not saying he has no future, but I would give him another season and a half to see what he can bring to the table long-term. There have been plenty of 23 year olds that put up mediocre numbers in AAA who go on to have respectable careers in the big leagues. I'm not saying the man will ever be an all-star, but, in his prime, he may be able to put up a solid .280/.340/.420.

October 18, 200718 yr All we really need is someone to platoon with Cody Ross unless Willingham is moved out of the outfield. #25? We could only hope...
October 20, 200718 yr I think we should move Hanley to center and let Andino, a potential defensive wise, handle a premium defensive position. Andino had 34 errors this year He's bored in AAA. All I know is that Andino was branded the heir apparent to Alex Gonzalez three years ago because of his defensive promise and I think his natural ability is superior to Hanley's whose defensive range and reaction time are below average for a shortstop.

October 20, 200718 yr There will be speculation of the Marlins trying to trade for this guy or that guy, but when it's said and done, you'll still be seeing Alfredo Amezaga or Eric Reed in CF because Loria is cheap :|
