May 1, 200818 yr The wife bought me one of those framed OB seats. Kinda cool. :thumbup If you look close you can still see the old stains on it, clearly from when a visiting FSU fan puked after "Wide Right II" in '92. :cool oooh burn... touche you witty cane fan! i am no match for you and your puke stained seat that you probably paid a couple hundred for... so ill just take my inferior fsu degree and go make fun of lizard fans because obviously i am out of my league here.
May 2, 200818 yr Go Cranes! Nice to see everything coming along well with the demolition. Can't wait to see the Marlins stadium start going up this fall.

May 2, 200818 yr Have you thought about how many asses have sat on that? don't get me excited. seriously though, I'm not planning on licking it.
May 4, 200818 yr Drove by on 836 yesterday afternoon and just a small chunk of it is left and the Marlins might be able to break ground sooner than November.
May 5, 200818 yr i spoke to Claude Delorme (Senior Vice President Stadium Development) at game saturday he told he supprise to see OB going down that quick i told him(marlins) can have ground soon maybe after july when their sign last paper he smile too me

May 6, 200818 yr Wow,the old girl is almost completely gone... Glad i got to go to the last game.... But i can't wait for opening day 2011, its gonna be crazy....
May 8, 200818 yr I love this picture....... (forget the car.... it's what's in the background that counts) So glad that sh*t hole is gone. That "sh*t hole" was one of the best experiences for a lot of us down there. There is not much things better than a nationally televised night game at the OB. Forget about the parking, or the restrooms, or the food there, just to be there and feel the energy was amazing. Sure Im glad the Marlins got what they needed, but its sad to see those pics. Id rather have the "sh*t hole" rennovated, and the Marlins have their stadium in downtown MIA.
May 9, 200818 yr The news just showed the last piece being demolished. Not the last piece, I assure you. There's still some of it left standing... I can see it from my balcony.
May 15, 200818 yr Don't forget they still have to make the land ready to build on. Just because there is no structure doesn't mean they are good to go.
May 18, 200818 yr WSVN just said the demolition is complete. Now it is, yes. :thumbup And I'll be posting the pics I took today shortly.
May 18, 200818 yr Today's pics -- there's practically nothing left of the Orange Bowl but the gateways, the scoreboard and tons of debris:
May 18, 200818 yr now we need get final aggement sign get started to build round time nov get here if their speical event i will try to be their
May 18, 200818 yr I gotta admit...It still hurts A LOT not seeing the Orange Bowl in it's rightful place....the marlins moving there eases the pain a little. But so many memories at the OB, I'll be sad forever to see it go. :confused
May 18, 200818 yr I have never been to the OB but it looks like there is some parking right outside the stadium... is it similar to DS?
May 18, 200818 yr no not at all. there's a lot less parking space at the OB. which is why there's gonna be parking garages for the marlins new stadium..
May 20, 200818 yr Author Does anyone know the days that the crew works at the Orange bowl site for cleanup? I'm guessing they have Saturday and Sunday off, but that could be wrong.
May 20, 200818 yr Not sure if this is up all ready but... "As the remains are removed from the grounds, the next stage in the stadium planning process is announcing exactly where on the Orange Bowl grounds the baseball park will be built. An announcement is expected in about two weeks." Source: MLB.com
