Fight in Boston.

My question is, If Shields wanted to hit him, why'd he hit him in the legs rather than aiming for his head?

I mean, when pitchers retaliate, they aim for the head...do they not?

From what I could see, it looks like Gomes, Crawford, Navarro, and Shields will be suspended on the Rays side. On the Sox side, all I saw was Coco Crisp (obvious). MLB will watch the replay and sort it out.

I always thought they aimed for the ribs... aiming for the head is a taboo act...
