Jeremy's Bad Luck

Featured Replies

There was another game this year in which Hermida homered in the 1st inning. It turned out to be the Marlins' only run of the game, and we lost. It just happened again. Hmmm.....WTF? Forgive me, I don't remember which game this same incident happened in.

At least Rich and T-Hut read my e-mail. Second time this year, third time ever!

Which e-mail was yours?

I asked about how they pick the e-mails. The key to getting your question or comment on the air is to try to think of something nobody else will ask or say. And to send it in as early as possible.

To make your point false the Marlins were

11-3

when Hermida homers.

Does it make you feel better about yourself to diss other people's threads?

I'm merely pointing out a coincidence. After a little bit of research, I can confirm that a few weeks ago in Oakland, Hermida homered off Justin Duchscherer in the first inning, and that proved to be the Marlins' only run of the game. http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5gZvcS3w...d9AYowD91FDIN01

As for the other poster who said the Fish are 11-3 when Hermida homers this year, you're confusing that with the Cantu stat that was shared on the air last night. It would be impossible for the Marlins to be 11-3 when Hermida has only 9 homers this year. Cantu now has 16 long balls, two of which came in the same game, so that stat is about how the team does when Cantu homers, not Hermida.

I joined this thing to bond with my fellow Marlins fans (Only a handful of my friends are Fish fans), but it becomes less enjoyable when people say things like "your thread is irrelevant."

i must say that whenever the marlins score in the first on the road they usually waste no time in giving it back

yes, I have noticed this as well

the Marlins always seem to score in the 1st or 2nd innings only to give right back and eventually lose

a testament to bad bullpen

our injured pitchers can't come back soon enough

We are 3-5 when he homers.

:mis2

Where did I hear that stat... silly FSN Florida :shifty

EDIT: He is bad luck... he doesn't do sh*t for the team of late.

Not a personal attack, just saying it doesn't mean anything. Ok, so it happened twice, so it's now bad luck? It has to happen more than twice to be considered "bad luck" when he hits a homer in the 1st inning, (if you even believe in luck at all). It's just a silly idea to me.

No, FSN Florida said it correctly...they said the Marlins are 11-3 when Cantu homers. I do not know where you got Hermida from, maybe you just misunderstood them.

Im really hoping you are wrong. Hanley homered and now we scored 1st.

Hey don't be upset. Don't forget the new MB.com motto: "Everybody love everybody." We all get on each other but its all in good fun. Most of us are united in our allegiance to the Fish. "We few, we happy few." It helps to have a thick skin though.
