July 13, 200817 yr Who's place will he take. Personally, i would leave miller in the rotation. He's a man and he can get over his struggles himself.

That will just destroy his confidence. We have to ride with him for the rest of the year.

Do you think his confidence will get any better if he keeps pitching the way he did today?

No, but he's proved that he can have success with the big boys. and if we leave him here and pitches good like he did in May, his confidence will soar.

Miller doesn't need confidence, he needs to work on his control. I understand your a Miller fan but it will be better once we start to see better control from him.
July 13, 200817 yr Author Excuse me, this is an Anibal Sanchez thread, not an Andrew Miller thread. Please devote all Miller talk to this thread.

I meant to add Anibal replaces Miller when he's off the DL, i thought it was kind of obvious but I get jackasses like to point out the obvious.
July 13, 200817 yr Great stuff from Sanchez... can't wait to have him back, especially if Miller keeps struggling.

Sorry for making a mistake, on something you didn't even point out. Considering Sanchez is still in A ball, I guess I was right. It'll be a 4 man rotation for about a couple more weeks, with your original statement.
July 13, 200817 yr Miller is as good as gone the second that Sanchez or Mitre show they're healthy. Miller certainly hasn't earned the right to keep a spot in the rotation and neither did Hendrickson. Honestly if Miller were on any other team he would in AA or AAA at best. If the Marlins want to compete they need to get Sanchez back in the rotation ASAP.

We don't get Ani for another 3-4 weeks. If we send down Miller now, we would have a 4 man rotation or the rotation plus Hendrix/Tucker.
July 13, 200817 yr When Sanchez comes back there is no doubt in my mind that Miller will either be placed in the bullpen or sent to the minors. Even Tommy Hutton was saying it on the broadcast on Sunday. He had a couple of decent games but has reverted to being inconsistent. Starters: Nolasco, JJ, Volstad, Olsen and Sanchez. Long relief is covered by Waechter and Hendrickson. Middle relief and Set-up: Tucker, Nelson, Lindstrom and Pinto Closer: Gregg We don't need Miller blowing games early and burning the bullpen every 5th day. Let him mature and learn in the minors and bring him back up with the September call-ups to take another look at him in mop-up situations.

There will always be donkey's just learn to ignore them or use the "ignore" feature presented by MarlinsBaseball.com and you would certainly qualify as a donkey, sir. Like calling people out (PWG, yesterday) when they're not here...for things he was right on, when he said them. Or...getting into conversations you're not even a part of. Last I checked, the discussion was between him and I. Instead of saying something on Sanchez, you come in to call me an ass, b/c you know someone's on your side now, so you find it convenient. Plus, a donkey would definitely ignore stats when they don't favor him, only to use them when they do. Yep, you certainly are a "donkey."
