July 20, 200818 yr Wow 40 k for the sat game is awsome espcially cause its on fox. I hope its not all philly fans. Im trying to go to the sunday game. WOW! so the the guy who said 4o k was only off like 20 thousand big deal haha. originally it was 30,000 for the saturday game so they were only 4,000 off. not to bad. I said it cause a friend said they told him that on the phone. I also said he has been known to lie before. Anyone listen to fox-my daughter could not go on sat. with us but did say that the announcers were discussing attendance and one time said, "there may not be many people here, but they are loud". Look, 26,000 is not the best, but its ok-again, put 26000 in a 36000 seat baseball stadium and it looks good, put it in a 75000 seat football stadium and you get those comments. All I can say is OH WELL. it is so hard to tell because really it was 75% full, but it looks more empty with the upper area. I think it gets loud in there because it is all closed in and everyone is fairly low in the park. Hopefully they start drawing more as the seaosn continues on.

July 21, 200818 yr btw I mean actual** like if they guessed or anyone there could have a guess? I know the box score said 23,100+ but I was wondering who actually showed up. Probably 15,000 I saw the stadium, it looked less filled then when Griffey was there. Let's quit trying to push the issue about attendance we are not going to get a full (FOOTBALL STADIUM) unless this team reaches the playoffs, even then its not for sure. I was at the game Friday night. It was at least the 21k they reported. It felt like there were more though.
July 21, 200818 yr I'm sure that if the team stays in contention later in the season, maybe by late august, the "fans" will start filing up. Thats whats happened in the past. We'll see if that can happen this year. I'm hoping the mid august series with the cubs will bring in huge numbers.

July 21, 200818 yr What kind of attendance do you expect vs Braves? 12-15k a game. I would love it to be higher but I dont think we'll see it. It will be atleast another month before we start seeing an increase in crowds... as long as we get to first place

Combine that with the fact we get better crowds on Fridays-Saturdays, and I wouldn't doubt it.

July 21, 200818 yr day games are effin hot. Nuff said. thats y u sit in the 455 -456 sections with the marlins vision screed blocking the sun from u there good seats for a cheap price get rows 5 or 6 so u dont have that sh*tty bar in ur face
